    Love the mountsin views around Lake Chapala! Visiting the malecon of Ajijic is lovely too. But mt views are the best! Being in centro Ajijic is certainly a plus. Everything is within walking distance. And you do not have to cross the careterra nor walk the hills of upper Ajijic! You really do not need a car living in that location.

    Beautiful, thank you! Just one suggestion- it’s difficult to imagine the lay-out (floor plan) as you jump from one angle to another or one room to another. Could you just show a simple sketch of each level as you go? Thanks so much!

    Why only show expensive places?? Many nice place is way las expensive. I know I lived in chapala for 12 years. Is wery greedy of you. Not all people has that kind of money. Shoe some las expensive.

      True, they do it for high commission. But there are way much cheaper properties for sale and they are not going to show those. Better to go and do your own search if you can, you will save tons of money

      Nobody to be blamed but the Americans. They started paying big bucks for everything. Eventually it will not be affordable for the locals. Gentrification.

      @alohastateofmind3565 4 года назад

      @@Teporame True to a degree, but gentrification happens in Los Angeles and other parts of America and the world. Canadians and other foreigners also flock to Mexico and Mexicans try to immigrate to America. Everyone's looking for a better life so I don't cast blame.

      Go your self and do your own hunting and you will find really good prices still, I did that at Patzcuaro and got a house right at the historical square for 32K USD,, doing your own leg work will pay off.

    Not worth it for the asking price. Wayyyy to much for a house that requires a lot of remodeling and the furniture is not good.

    Is it true there is a 10% purchase tax when you buy a home in Mexico. That would be over $30,000 on top of the sale price, am I correct on that?

    I'm a car guy and I would like a place to park at least six cars. I'm not so concerned about the house. And I also like to have a garden. So are there any places around Lake chapala that might come up for sale. I don't care if I'm in town or out a little bit.
