@@quantumblauthor7300 but as we know from brian david gilbert autobiography, he discovered that he will die on may 6th 2030. Since he'll die at 36, the "middle of his life" is technically when he is 18 years old

Pepe Silvia energy also strong here. "Take a look at this!" "Jesus Christ, Brian..." "That right there is Zelda. Now let's talk about Zelda. Can we talk about Zelda, please, viewers? I've been dying to talk about Zelda with you all day, OK?"
This video is hilarious, but what's really killing me is... that at some point, someone at Polygon had to have had the thought, 'Hmmm, should we cut out these titles beforehand, or should we make him cut them up by hand on camera, forcing ourselves to make constant jumpcuts? Nah, we'll make him do it, it's funnier.' Also, uncomfortable or no, that suit looks really sharp. They're just generally not built for jumping around a set, pinning Zelda titles to your theory wall.
I love that Link is just lazy in the Adult Timeline and not just missing because at the end of Ocarina of Time Zelda sent him back to his own timeline, creating two timelines where in one Link goes off to save Termina, and in the other a hero with the blood of the chosen knight is nowhere to be found, because Zelda Song of Time’d him out.

I watched this with a blue light filter over my phonescreen in bed at 4am and the heavy red tint gave it a "serial killer explaining how he can prove he was too busy learning Zelda lore to have committed all those murders officer" vibe
Note: the adult timeline isn't where link stays an adult after Ocarina of Time. It's actually the timeline link left behind. Ganon is sealed away, but the hero of time is gone because he went to the child timeline
4 years later, BDGs unraveled series still remains one of the most creative show about video games out there. It works on every facet and is amazing to watch. I really hope one day Brian creates another series with production on this level. It truly superb
I've just found this video again, I had forgotten what it was about, I just knew I was looking for the video of Bertie busting out of his suit and looking obscenely juicy
BDG was entirely responsible for Age of Calamity, he said that Hyrule Warriors was important, so they made a Cannon game with it.... and somehow it makes this whole time line thing make even more sense....
You know, true heroes aren't born, they are forged in the flames of greatness. Thank you Brian; you have saved the Zelda franchise by reconciling the timeline. Your research will dull the fires of heated fan arguments for years to come. Godspeed you fancy-vested man... godspeed... :'D
14:00 I feel like Brian David Gilbert saying with a straight face "I'm talking location, location, location" should have been recognized as a cry for help tbh
Slight correction: The Adult Link timeline is not Link deciding to remain an adult. Child and Adult timelines happen simultaneously when Link defeats Ganon as an adult and then returns to his childhood timeline, leaving the Adult timeline to pick up the pieces of Ganon's rule without a hero. In the child timeline he goes looking for Navi and stumbles into Termina (Majora's Mask) whereas in the adult timeline Ganon comes back and the people await the Hero of Time to save them again; only he doesn't because he doesn't exist anymore (since Link didn't claim the Master Sword and remained a child). This forced them to flood the world to seal Ganon which eventually leads to the ocean world of Wind Waker.

BDG has found everyone on the internet’s kink: a strip tease while explaining the Zelda timeline.
BDG Unravels his suit. That is all.
SwiftWolf29 * sorry man the Zelda timeline is my kink not Brian
Blasphemy! Pray that Sonic forgives you
SwiftWolf29 * nah I’m straight I’m too busy enjoy this sweet and tight timeline
@@PatrickWilliams-ip5wz Your loss man. Your loss.
I have never been so confused and yet so delighted by a video - the BDE (Brian David Energy) is strong here.
Pepe Silvia energy also strong here.
"Take a look at this!"
"Jesus Christ, Brian..."
"That right there is Zelda. Now let's talk about Zelda. Can we talk about Zelda, please, viewers? I've been dying to talk about Zelda with you all day, OK?"
How about Brian David Groove?
“YOU MADE ME USE MONOPOLY!” Is probably my favorite quote ever right now.
I parry back with "Either sonic is a god, or he can kill god, AND I DO NOT CARE IF THERE IS A difference",
Brain gilbert, the sonic ep
Ok but the “lets do the child one” while jumping with scissors or “shark man dos. Shark man dos not need to exist.”
Don't forget "So we have adult link, child link, BASKETBALL!"
3:51
I love how he fixes the one crooked one and then immediately there's 5 more crooked ones in the next shot
Ah, so this is why Reggie quit... Someone cracked the code
Holy. Shit.
Yep and now Nintendo USA is run by Bowser. Gr8 B8 M8
BDG ruined the nintendo hierarchy theory
This video is hilarious, but what's really killing me is... that at some point, someone at Polygon had to have had the thought, 'Hmmm, should we cut out these titles beforehand, or should we make him cut them up by hand on camera, forcing ourselves to make constant jumpcuts? Nah, we'll make him do it, it's funnier.'
Also, uncomfortable or no, that suit looks really sharp. They're just generally not built for jumping around a set, pinning Zelda titles to your theory wall.
"I cut one of the titles in half... Clayton, we have to start over"
This did for me, I don't know why
I love that Link is just lazy in the Adult Timeline and not just missing because at the end of Ocarina of Time Zelda sent him back to his own timeline, creating two timelines where in one Link goes off to save Termina, and in the other a hero with the blood of the chosen knight is nowhere to be found, because Zelda Song of Time’d him out.
Brian is a gift to mankind
The way he said “sonic” sounded so heartbroken.
He had not yet fallen upon the truth of Sonic's divine essence
@@revolutionarygold you must be new if that's what you think
@@lucasdelaplace2795 he's discovered the truth now, but this was before that. Sonic called to him through this video and his heresy was recanted and repented for
Amanda Amos the way you phrased that statement was immaculate, thank you
@@pixelatedcorpse thank u I grew up evangelical christian and now I'm a pagan atheist but I gotta use all this biblical language for something
Somehow this is less confusing than the official timeline.
I consider this canon
Because THIS is the official timeline
Because this one explains zora and rito existing in the same world
@@jawly_ According to Wind Waker, the Rito evolved from the Zora. That doesn't mean ALL of them became Rito. Our world has apes *and* humans, doesn't it?
Burg3rDud3 humans didn’t actually evolve from apes, we just have a recent common ancestor. The thing that we directly evolved from is extinct
FUN FACT: I've been gifted Zelda monopoly twice by well meaning relatives. I have also never opened it once.
I learned absolutely nothing beneficial to my future and yet I feel fulfilled emotionally,
just how I like it
I watched this with a blue light filter over my phonescreen in bed at 4am and the heavy red tint gave it a "serial killer explaining how he can prove he was too busy learning Zelda lore to have committed all those murders officer" vibe
Same...I'm terrified of this man now...😂😂😂😳
the lights in the video do get progressively redder
virgin red filter vs chad ORANGE filter 😌😌 /j
Unraveled: Brian slowly strips as he gets more and more worked up
;)
I'm down for it
O no
Sadly, we never get past the forearms in terms of skin exposure.
Please
I like how instead of one, consistent timeline, nintendo; made him a child, made him an adult, and best of all, fucking killed him
13:38 "And also Sonic"
So many emotions playing out on Brian's face there
I wanna say thank you for the comment but I don't wanna have your comment not have 69 likes so thank you, this is a gift
Ah, the three genders.
Adult
Child
Basketball
What about time break?
@@theweakestbrazilianmale3398 that's non binary, I guess?
@@megatennepster3833 Nah, it'd be nontrinary
Guess my genderfluid ass is Breath of the Wild
@@Alex-ux8cl nope, nontriforceary
Dear Polygon,
Please have more Brian in a suit in the future.
Thank you
Also more videos where the video host slowly strips.
>.>
some very good ham
yes
um his EYES are up HERE
Note: the adult timeline isn't where link stays an adult after Ocarina of Time. It's actually the timeline link left behind. Ganon is sealed away, but the hero of time is gone because he went to the child timeline
At 14:00 when he said “location, location, location” I thought he was setting up link as becoming a map maker and was gonna say link becomes tinggle
@Mat Hill ME TOO!
I actually typed something similiar in, just to delete it after your comment.
that's what came through my mind as well. I was not disappointed by the real outcome though.
"white guy in a three piece suit growing more and more disheveled (over zelda)" is probably my sexuality tbh
Julian de Jesus same
Amen
Bdg is an anomaly. He looks so quintessentially nerdy but he is also extremely handsome.
Valid lmao
I mean he totally pulls off the three piece tho
This is just Brian gradually losing his clothes over the course of 15 minutes
Claire Granier oh yea 😏
Im so here for this
Finally a plot that I can enjoy.
Longest and least sexy striptease.. Then why is it 10/10 would watch again?!
Brian what kind of cruel sorcery is this??
OwO
4 years later, BDGs unraveled series still remains one of the most creative show about video games out there.
It works on every facet and is amazing to watch. I really hope one day Brian creates another series with production on this level. It truly superb
I love this guy so much I watched 15 minutes of him explaining a series I barely know the main character's name, AND HE MADE ME FUCKING ENJOY IT.
the main character is "zelda" obviously. he's a boy and you play as him
it's "Luigi" because he's green, see?
@@PauperoftheFishies no stupid the main character is zelda and shes a girl and shes have a sword
ME ABOUT ALMOST EVERY UNRAVELED VIDEO LMAO
😂😂😂😂
BDG: this whole goddamn suit is so tight; I feel like a Christmas ham
Me: cuz you lookin like snacc
Please, he’s a full course meal
And dessert
A whole 5 star buffet
I've just found this video again, I had forgotten what it was about, I just knew I was looking for the video of Bertie busting out of his suit and looking obscenely juicy
🤔
I like the red tint increase in the filter over time
it matches his rage at monopoly
*The original Unraveled:*
"don't make me do this again!"
*Polygon:*
"well that's your career here!"
When he starts yelling about monopoly I think I can hear the cameraman struggle to not laugh
BDG was entirely responsible for Age of Calamity, he said that Hyrule Warriors was important, so they made a Cannon game with it.... and somehow it makes this whole time line thing make even more sense....
Doug bowser has seen his waluigi video so he could've seen this aswell
*canon
"Canon"
You know, true heroes aren't born, they are forged in the flames of greatness. Thank you Brian; you have saved the Zelda franchise by reconciling the timeline. Your research will dull the fires of heated fan arguments for years to come. Godspeed you fancy-vested man... godspeed... :'D
Yes.... He will dull the flames. By confusing us to the point that we will never complain about the timeline ever again
I love how it gets redder and redder as the video progresses to signify brian's descent into madness
"So even the canonical timeline isn't like super hard set in stone canonical, which goes to show it sucks."
LIKE
the red light at the end is a VERY good touch
Wow I didn't notice that, thanks.
It's not just the end it gets progressively redder throughout the video
Well, actually...
Voxel Smash is just toys and not a real link?
*cough* well actually, link's awaking, a link to the past, and ocracle of ages/seasons links are all the same. so link cannot die after link's awaking
Vcs aqui mano kkkkkkk
Joe Smith That's true acording to Historia, but after Enciclopedia, they updated it and state they're different
Well aaeckkchuueeaaallliii
14:00 I feel like Brian David Gilbert saying with a straight face "I'm talking location, location, location" should have been recognized as a cry for help tbh
I can't believe you defeated reggie so hard that he quit being nintendo president.
hatnkane and then died
Zelda chess is obviously the Hyrulean Civil War that happened before Ocarina of Time
No before breath of the wild
THE WAR AGAINST THE DARK ARMY
Maybe Zelda chess is a retelling of Ocarina of Time from a different angle?
I was thinking Lorule vs Hyrule
10:19
William Taylor nah, chess is a battle or a war it’s not a heroes quest.
It was so funny watching his suit steadily come apart.
