I'm happy with Luxor. The check in process can be an ordeal. But I like the location because the Deuce bus isn't full when you board it across the street. Plus I always get coffee at the am pm across the street. I just noticed, too, that I did get upgraded to a Tower room a few weeks ago because my initial room still hadn't been cleaned. I didn't realize this, as I was so fried from not feeling good. I could've passed out on a lobby bench. Yeah, Tower rooms are nice. My first Pyramid room a few years ago was fine. So we'll see what I get my next go round. Awesome bathroom in the Tower (yeah I'm kind of a shower nut and had a nice soak one night with some bath salts from Walgreens).
We have stayed several times in Luxor in both the Tower and Pyramid rooms. Prefer the Tower rooms. Both are comfortable but Tower seems more relaxing although a bit longer of a walk. Enjoy the Luxor as it is within easy walking distance of many other properties and attractions
We were in a pyramid 2 Queen They took my tip and gave us a room w a view of something blocking our window like a giant AC unit. It was kinda a bummer. Ill give it one more try and see if they can make it right😃
A very helpful vid thx. Do we think they should consider putting some clear acrylic at the upper overlooks to the food court below? I always thought is was strange to keep it all open. Maybe just keep it open at certain areas. Cheers!
Loved this hotel room review.I always thought PYRAMIDS had elevators . Who knew ! It definitely helped me with my decision on staying there . A Margarita would be a bonus to the whole experience 🍹
Hey hey guys. Thanks for this review. We have never stayed here. I think we have only been in Luxor 1 time and that was for a show. Lolololol. Thanks for sharing. 🎉🎉
Great review! ❤ Have you ever seen the one bedroom tower suite? It seems hit and miss on reviews. Some look old and beat up, others quite nice. We book through Expedia so can only choose a room type, not a specific tower etc.
Great and useful video. The inclinations in the pyramid are much slower than elevators, often a few of them are broken , so when the hotel is full, the inclinator lines get awful and long. We got sick of standing in line , and we moved to the tower and they have many nice high speed, modern elevators, no lines. I do enjoy staying in the pyramid, but it’s not worth standing in line for.
How were the beds? I booked a tower Premier king room at luxor for a friend it's her first time stayin at a property on the strip. I just hope its worth it

Luxor is a fascinating hotel, I've stayed at both pyramid and tower rooms, suites and premium rooms, even the lower cost rooms, and no complaints, except that one time I found someone else's turd floating in my toilet, front desk quickly upgraded our room and even took our luggage to the next room. Unfortunately, people need to understand that lower cost hotels, such as Luxor, attract certain lower class, misbehaving people from Compton and Watts.
In 2012 my family stayed at the luxor. I was with my mom on the casino floor. We got a call from my dad saying he went back into their room and someone else is now in their room by the sign of new luggage and my parents' luggage now missing. We quickly went to security and the front desk. We all met up and went with security to our room. We walked in .. and all of our stuff was still there and nothing new... all confused.. Come to find out AND TESTED, my dad went one floor above/below but to same room - for example floor 15 room 25 (1525) vs floor 16 room 25 (1625) and the key opened both doors. I guess every key opens every door?? No one had an answer just said dont go to the wrong door....
does luxor give u an empty fridge for cold storage of ur drinks? im thinking tower cuz its more modern and higher ceilings but further walking distance to the food court and uber? thx
Great video. I knew the rideshare exit was there by the tower rooms, but the thought never occurred to me...I can just take my luggage to rideshare on checkout, have Desert Rose wait with the luggage and I bring the car around to pick her and our luggage up instead of making the long schlep to the parking lot with all the luggage, Thanks!
Hi I am visiting from the Caribbean and will not have transportation. Is the Luxor Pyramid far from the Towers. I saw a site saying that it is a 26 min walk.
@@UpUpOurWay Lol, we do love the views from the hallways though. And just to mention, the 28th, 29th, and 30th floors don't open up to the mezzanine view. You would have to go down to the 27th floor to smell the grease, hahaha. Thx for the video. I love watching anything Vegas. Take Care.
@@ryanwidhalm9431 this is true! The views from the hallway are great! It’s a really unique feature for Vegas. Thankfully we only had one grease experience. It was really gross though. Maybe they were having issues that weekend!

Haha! We had issues with our AC in a tower room recently. Keeping the curtain closed helped. Didn’t feel like calling maintenance and wasting vacation time.
@@UpUpOurWay I love the Cosmo but I was trying out strip places properties these past two years. Normally I’d stay at a timeshare love all the amenities without the crazy price tags
Hello Enrique & Melissa great review. I have stayed at both Pyramid & Tower King room's. If someone is staying at Luxor more than once, give them both a try. I do prefer the East Tower Premier King overall. Enrique, from one father to another, HAPPY (belated) FATHER'S DAY hope you had a good day. 😊

Thanks for putting this video together. I picked the Tower because of your comments about ride-share and the smell of food.
I liked that it was short and to the point! Very helpful.
Thank you!
Have stayed in both, but now I only stay in the Tower rooms. Great rooms.

That was pretty rude of the front desk person!!!
Where is that map at 2:10? I sure could have used it last time around.
I wanna say it was by the towers area, but I think I saw a few around!
@@UpUpOurWay I'm gonna have to look for one or ask next time. Thanks!
I like the tower 2 by the pool. the pyramid room i would stay in and I got really bad migraines.
They call it the Resort Tower now instead of tower 2. Always changing things 🤣
Thank you for the video. Just booked a tower premier room & came searching for the difference from the pyramid premier.
Enjoy! Tower rooms are very nice!
Great video, will be there in November
Very informative video!!! Thanks for watching!!!!
Thanks Camille!
Thank you! Exactly the info we were looking for. Especially about the food smell!
😂😂 I haven’t smelled it every time, but it is gross
Diablos cantina is some of the best Mexican I’ve had on the strip, the fajitas were so good

Yes, I think something is needed there. But the hallways in the pyramid are sort of yucky anyway. Maybe they’ll get a nice remodel going.

West tower, highest floor available, and west facing room for me. Love the Luxor.
Great video thanks hun I stayed there 11 years in a row
It’s a cool spot to stay! Thank you!

Thanks Ikaika!
I stayed in a tower room. It was a nice room and close to the pedway for excalibur.
Great video! Do any of the rooms have a balcony? 😊
No, no balconies. Cosmopolitan or Signature MGM have them, but they’re not common in most hotels.
This helped a ton! I love a bath, so the decision is easy for me. 😊
Thanks! I’m glad it helped 😄
i love the one-of-a-kind design of the pyramid. So that's my choice. The tower rooms looks newer if that's what you are aiming for though.
You hit the nail on the head Kenzo! The cool, unique experience, or a room that’s a bit more updated.
Thanks, Melissa and Enrique 👍

No, they do not. Most of the mgm properties do not have them other than Vdara. Caesars hotels do have them for now at least.
Stayed at both. I prefer the pyramid rooms. They could use a fridge but rooms seem more comfortable
They also feel a tad bigger to me, but I don’t think they are. 😂 must be the layout.

No, MGM hotels don’t have empty fridges. Caesars hotels usually do!

It’s a bit of walking down a hallway to get to the elevators.
