You're almost singlehandedly reprogramming the gwot generation (those who served in the gwot, not civvies) back to old school real world soldiering (back when soldiering was synonymous with infantry). Good job, brother. Loving the videos.
Great information, love how you are using ALICE style load bearing equipment. Great for 360 battlefield and fieldcraft. A lot of youtubers are showing chest rigs / plate carriers for fieldcraft setting but yours is ideal. One of the best channels.
Fieldcraft definitely is a lost art, super glad that someone is teaching it instead of doing the nth CQB dance video. I remember being told in basic that our e tool is more valuable than the rifle and if we're staying somewhere for more than 20 mins we should start digging. Artillery wins wars and the best defence against artillery is A) not being where it lands and B) digging in. At the time I thought very little of this, but the war in Ukraine has shown us just how valuable stuff like this is. Fieldcraft was an art developed for a reason, most of its rules and drills are written in blood. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series :)
Those videos aren’t even holistic they don’t cover movement of what you’ll do till you reach the target they only cover what you’ll do in the target. Videos on movement techniques in Urban Areas are literally non existent.
Cheers mate, too many sell outs and sponsorships around right now in my opinion. My content may seem dry to some, but it’s everything you need to know, step by step no BS - the best I can do
GREAT STUFF mate! As a non grunt military veteran the sad reality is Americans of all types will be needing these concepts on our soil very soon! Youre gonna save lives with this knowledge transfer! Thank you.
You should make a video on how to attach different knife sheaths to molle or regular belt. There are tons of knife sheath designs out there but barely any videos showing how to effectively tie or clip them to your gear.
Very good point. Not only for attaching sheaths, but the odd external gear you may need to carry, which you can't hide in a pack or pouch. Like, say an e-tool or ammo can, or larger mission specific gear.
Thanks for your video, this will help me, I'm a security guard but I study military science and I finished ROTC program now I'm encorporating my military skills in my security job just incase an unavoidable things happen where I need to respond.
As an active infantryman from eastern europe, I find your videos very educational. Due to unknown reasons, western instructors, when we rarely get some, don't teach us these techniques.
Damn eastern European military's must suck ass if they don't know something as simple as IMT and have to rely on western countries to teach them everything. No disrespect but Jesus that's gotta be rough.
@@landenjones9374 Because the general feel among my organization is that we should know how westerners do things. We already know how easterners do said things.
@@JFKxprinc but like i said is there any reason why specifically that's the general feel among your organization, that you have to know what the westerners know. Is it cuz you see us as enemies or something.?
@@landenjones9374 Not in the slightest I'd say. If anything, I personally , think that the western modus operandi is in certain aspects simplified but superior to how the eastern ways of war are. For the sake of synergy it would be good to adopt some techniques.
This is a great video, while watching I saw you use hand gestures and I thought what if we could have a hand gesture video by you? as we know hand gestures are detrimental to communicate with our squad/fireteam mates. There are a bunch of videos out there that explain hand gestures for when your on patrol and so on, but I believe that all those videos miss a very important detail, which is that when you make a hand gesture you should look around and make sure that your mates got the gesture. I was taught to always look around as I made a hand gesture and look at the guy behind me in the eyes to make sure he gets it, and the guy behind us must pass the same gesture down the line. later in practice I understood why this was, as we walk for many miles we of course get tired and we may miss a hand gesture, also we might just be looking around and scanning. I remember that after we had walked for multiple hours I was so tired paired with lack of sleep as it always tends to be with this line of work, I missed a hand gesture as I was looking at it. Of course when we have a direct line of sight on the enemy we shouldn't look around and be focused on the threat ahead. On top of this hand gestures shouldn't be "Dogmatic", different teams can have their own "SOP" for the usage of hand gestures and what gesture should mean what.
100% in the works! I’m trying to make the series follow a logical order and building skills on top of each video, so once all the individual skills are done we will move on to team
Field craft is the business of soldiering. Become a master of it. Great post. So much is now lost with modern tech. You must learn fieldcraft it is essential, wherever in a platoon or if you become alone. Great post again.
Still got my copy of "Basic Battle Skills" from WAY back in the day!! Goes through roughly what you've demonstrated! All Tried and Tested with very little changes. "If it's not broke don't fix it" Btw what's the Smock your wearing?
Already subscribed and enjoying your videos However, for this I have a disagreement Regarding zig zagging when under enemy fire I think it offers no tactical advantages and it increases the dangers of being hit Reason being that it increases the time to next cover. More time exposed equals more danger of something hitting you Fastest time between cover decreases time being exposed, thus decreases danger of being hit The enemy will fire "aimed enough" and "as more as possible" for the time he sees us He will not try to "track" a zig zagging target to fire a single well aimed shot Respectfully! Great job all around regardless of this disagreement!

However, for this I have a disagreement
Regarding zig zagging when under enemy fire
I think it offers no tactical advantages and it increases the dangers of being hit
Reason being that it increases the time to next cover. More time exposed equals more danger of something hitting you
Fastest time between cover decreases time being exposed, thus decreases danger of being hit
The enemy will fire "aimed enough" and "as more as possible" for the time he sees us
He will not try to "track" a zig zagging target to fire a single well aimed shot
Respectfully!
Great job all around regardless of this disagreement!
