Believing in ghosts hurts combat readiness 1. Noise in the woods may be misinterpreted as a ghost, leading to unreported situations. 2. Believing in ghosts can distract from real threats, impacting readiness. 3. Combat effectiveness relies on addressing tangible enemies, not supernatural fears. I.E you can kill the enemy/wild life and can’t kill ghost leading to feelings of hopelessness

Citizen soldiers....as it should be. "The power of the sword, say the minority…, is in the hands of Congress. My friends and countrymen, it is not so, for The powers of the sword are in the hands of the yeomanry of America from sixteen to sixty. The militia of these free commonwealths, entitled and accustomed to their arms, when compared with any possible army, must be tremendous and irresistible. Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress has no power to disarm the militia. Their swords and every terrible implement of the soldier are the birthright of Americans. The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments but where, I trust in God, it will always remain, in the hands of the people." -The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788. - Tench Coxe

I received my initial training with zero tech allowed and I’m grateful for that foundation. Doing precision navigation with 100+ lbs of gear through forests full of vines and thick brush in the dead of night with only a compass, map, and pace count to find a tiny post for each point…. All while avoiding detection…. Was exhausting, challenging, and rewarding…. Towards the end of training we were finally introduced to pvs7s and gps devices lol. I still practice to this day. Thank you for your hard work and for sharing this man.

I would also add that drone nav lights (green and red) viewed depend on which way the drone is facing. Red is on the left side of the drone and green is in the right so if it is facing towards you, green is left and red is on the right as you see it.

My question is where would you consider a gas mask to go... In the thrive , survive or in the fighting kit.... Hard to say as it can fit into all three categories.... It's the bulky feature of the mask that makes it hard to decide where to keep it. FYI I'm in a major city so gas is expected to be encountered but also near desert, mountains and evergreen Forrests

You explain this subject very well. Why not explain how to use the Mk1 eyeball when your night vision aids fail during the hours of darkness? It can and does fail. When that happens the individual's anxiety increases tremendously; which reduces their effectiveness. We rely on too much technology.

@@Echo_Mike Got that. However, when using your eyes at night, using SIL crouch or lie down so that any object or person will be silhouetted against the sky and scan in a figure of eight motion just off center of the object. That way you can identify(hopefully!) what you are looking at. Don't stare at the object. Rest the eyes frequently. I am trying to be helpful and not be a Troll.
