- So we are porting some VW single port heads for a project motor. I'm no cylinder head expect or guru, this is just some stuff I have picked up over the years and things that work for me.
Thanks for watching.

Thank you Matt! Very nice visual demonstration of what porting is all about. It is very helpful to understand the importance and purpose of air/fuel flow in and out of the combustion chambers.
Good detail, well lit. Just done this to my own SP heads and interesting to compare your work to what I did! Great work, thanks.
Hey, thanks for sharing. I’d like to give this a try on one of my next vw builds. I port matched everything on my DSM build, and it performs unbelievably well... really seemed to help with it.
Great info Matt.👍
Thanks
TY so much. ❤😊
Good details Matt. did not mind the lenght of the video.
Thanks Busman 54 , sometimes it's hard to get all the information in in a short time.
Looks good. Nice shop!
It's nice to have a clean spot finally 😁.
Nice work from 64vw of nj,
Good explanation 👍
Thank you Brenton Lucas.
Any guess on how much power increase you could expect on a 1500, noticeable? Thanks for the video!
Probably around 5-7 on a stock motor. Add some 1.4 ratio rockers, dual one barrel carbs and a nice header then it all starts to multiply. In the how to hot rod VW book they ported the heads, cut them for more compression added 1.4 rockers and a two barrel carb and got 77hp ( motor made 44hp before mods)
Turn the music down and speak up. I wasn't sure if this was a radio show or a how to. So turned of 2 mins in.
