That's what I got for my 1600. I like the good castings as well as the increased airflow from the larger ports. I've seen a lot of the 'off brand' heads that cost more, so CB has a great product for the price.
Thanks for the updates on your build.

I helped a friend with his engine build - 1800 - a couple years back.
He bought a set of MOFOCO heads
Very nice & clean. We did disassemble for cleaning & lap the valves as one valve on each head did seep a little with the fluid test.
Still running strong as last I heard.

    Great video.
This heads are the best on the market.
In brazil we do have a few brands still casting this heads, but nothing compared with autolinea quality. They improve the manufacturing in the last years, due the international demand as CB performance or Empi both manufactured there. There are others brands and very cheap. they get the job done for the 1300/1500/1600. something like $200 for the set. keeping the air cooled alive, for about 15 was rare to finde autolinea in stores, now we have great competition and values on the market 👍

I have these on my 2074 bus build. Really nice looking heads. It was fun getting the thermostat rod and cylinder tin to fit But not bad , chainsaw files did it. as they are a bit bigger in spots. Will probably end up ordering another set to replace my old street eliminators on my 2387 also. Cant wait to fire this thing up though!

Did you ever install these? I am try to figure out the deck height and volume on mine, as it looks different than the 041 heads. Wondering if I should have installed cylinder or head shims? Gonna start it today and see what happens, it's a 1904cc...thanks.

What cam is good for the street driver

Kind of an open ended question. Really depends on what you are building.
For a real mild motor (1776 and down ) with small or stock carburetor keep it at or below an Engle 100 or use 1.4 rockers on a stock cam.
For some thing a little hotter like a 1914 ~2007 cc with dual twos barrel carbs and some head work. I would say something like an Engle 120 ( good all around cam with displacement).
For a street strip motor that's 2007cc and up with large dual carbs (like 48ida) and good heads ( wedge port or so) I would not go higher than a Engle FK 10.
Then there's the "street car" with comp eliminator heads 13.5 to 1 compression, $2500 JC 51.5 ida carbs and at that point the sky is the limit.
      Hope this helps

you said not gonna be a 1 hundred thousand mile head be cause of the valve guide exposed......why would the exposed be a problem?

Because the valve guide is not supposed like the stock head. Over time it will get loose. It like holding something with one hand as compared to holding that same thing with two hands.
