Salt free all purpose seasoning works best because ranch dressing mix and Au Jus mix have a lot of salt as well as the peppers and juice of peppers. I love Mississippi pot roast.

Ohhhhh man!!!! I make this a few times a year, I usually season it up then put it on the grill to give it a nice sear then put it in the slow cooker. Man, I make sandwiches, or put it over rice or noodles, it’s also great to take to work for lunches during the week.
    Yeahhhhhh man!!!!!

That grill steps up the flavor profile by 10. I'll have to do that next time.

I made this recipe yesterday. Meat was tender and it tasted great, but it was too salty. I had to add water to dilute the salt content. I found that seasoning the meat, plus both seasoning packets have a high sodium content.

I wonder if adding in a nice fresh sweet onion would work well in this during the slow cooking process, I'd imagine it would add even more great flavor.

Thank you for sharing. I love "chuck" haven't cooked your Mississippi Pot Roast yet; but man , oh man 😋🤤🤤 looks absolutely delicious. I'm from NY so ik about Italian foods, the pepperoncini we put it on pizza too, it's not a hot pepper more like pickled, spice. "Pepperoncini" pronunciation: Pepper roan see knee🤪🤣 . I'd love your recipe with a lil white rice 🌾🍚😋
