Wow, it was nice to see Stevens gravesite. I have read a lot about him over the years and watched the movie that was made. He had no help intergrading back into his previous life and former classmates in school were cruel as they had no understanding what he had been through. Family tried to help but they also had no support or counseling. This was a enjoyable video Steve. I too like to see the hotel rooms. I recently moved to Hawaii and have been visiting a lot of hotels!
It makes you wonder if he would still be alive if he had had therapy and support after this life shattering event. Glad you enjoyed seeing the room. Hawaii sounds awesome. Aloha!

Thank you so much for this video Steve! As always it was awesome thanks to your great and through work! As weird as this sounds I love true crime and because of that I purchased the Steven Staynor Story on Dvd. I can clear up why Parnell was never charged for Steven's kidnapping is because prosecutors were counting on Steven's testimony to lengthen Parnell's sentence. He couldn't bring himself to even talk about it. He was too overcome and traumatized. All this according to the movie. May Steven rest in peace
The way Steven was bullied afterwards and was made to feel ashamed about what happened to him is so tragic. He is a hero he saved this other little boy from going through the years of abuse he suffered from his capturer .. Cary is a gross monster I can’t believe these two are brothers.
He was never tried for Stephen. Statute had run already. He was convicted for Timothys kidnapping only. Everyone was his friend when he came home. Many kids ostracized him when he testified. It was pathetic. He left behind a sweet wife and two sweet little children. Carey copped a plea that avoided the death penalty

As depressing this story is it needs to b e told so we can keep our eyes open to help authorities stop these types of heinous crimes. Thanks for bringing this forward to us Steve... Be safe..
I well remember the Steven Stayner case, and had hoped he finally found peace and a brighter future. I agree that he is no longer suffering from the terrible things that took away his innocence. May he rest in peace. Oh, by the way, Merced, California is where the actress of the classical era, Jeanne Crain. came from.
Wow, that's one of the most horrendous stories, I've ever heard. I just wanted to add that Hwy 99 is also called "The Old Milk Run." I guess because it does run through so many central Californian cities. I've traveled it many times. If you ever have the time while traveling north/south or visa-vera, you should take it. There are a lot of wonderful towns and people there. Another great route is, of course, Hwy 1. That is the coastal route, and you will see some of the most beautiful seaside cliffs, beaches, and beautiful towns and people, that route as well. Steven's story is beyond terrible but, I thank you for sharing it with us. Knowing about evil is to cherish the Good.
Jesse Stayner is Steven Stayner’s uncle he was 42 years old when he was mysteriously killed in his own home on Brantley Street in Merced California on December 26, 1990 with his .22 his murder has never been solved at the time Jerry lived with his nephew Cary Stayner
Parnell got 22 months for Steven due to California law at the time. Parnell got 5 years for Timothy White, whose trial was first. When stevens trial came up the most the judge could give was 22 extra months for Steven, served _concurrently_ not _consecutively_ , meaning the 22 months were served as part of Whites time, not *after* awful, stupid laws that should have never been. The last child he abducted or tried to, the woman was his caretaker, she knew his history, turned him in, and when he paid the money for a 5 year old boy, he was arrested. Thankfully, no actual child was involved. Stevens story is so sad, he was just beginning to live again. He left a wife and two children. Parnell started him on drugs, he was high when killed in the motorcycle accident, so in a way Parnell killed him in the end. Carey is mentally ill if read of him, problems began as a young man. Newer books of I know my first name is Steven have updated part on Carey as well. Timmy of course died young of natural causes. Sad story all around..RIP STEVEN, TIMMY, (JOIE, CAROLE, JULIE, SVETLANA) ..CAREYS VICTIMS 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
This is a heartbreaking story. Parnell should have been put under the jail. Stephen deserved so much better. On another note, I owe you and your husband a big thank you. Thanks to you talking about his shingles I went and got my shot. I still have to get the second one but it is so worth it. I have stage 3 liver disease that is getting worse and I just couldn't imagine having shingles also. Thank you for sharing about the shingles.

Jessy Stayner, the uncle buried next to Steven, was murdered in his home in 1990, and no arrest has ever been made. There is speculation that Cary killed Jessy, because they were living together in the home at the time.
I'm from merced and was friends with Steven and cary in school. Thanks for all your information about this. It. It hurt alot of people when all this happened

DJ from the UK!
Thank you, DJ!
I remember the story from when Steven escaped and took young Timmy with him. Also the TV movie. And then to find out Steven's brother Cary was a serial killer! Wow! What that family went through.
Why the thumbs down? Support this good guy.😊
I remember hearing about this story. Soo sad. The laws are ridiculous. He should of been sent to prison for life. Your research is good, glad I subscribed.
Hi! Wow ! This is some story! How sad for one brother, but two in the same family ! Poor parents ! I remember this on the news . Very tragic! Thanks for all your great vlogs! Take care! Deborah Manitoba Canada

Another incredibly sad story with weird twist very interesting thank you Steve good job
Thanks Thomas 👍
As depressing this story is it needs to b e told so we can keep our eyes open to help authorities stop these types of heinous crimes. Thanks for bringing this forward to us Steve... Be safe..
I agree, Ted!
I well remember the Steven Stayner case, and had hoped he finally found peace and a brighter future. I agree that he is no longer suffering from the terrible things that took away his innocence. May he rest in peace. Oh, by the way, Merced, California is where the actress of the classical era, Jeanne Crain. came from.
Thanks for the story Steve
Great way to tell Steven's sad story. Looks like a nice hotel, at a nice price.
Love your channel....thank u for your efforts.. You are a good story teller. 😇
Thank you so much, Carolyn!
Hey Steven another great video, this was a sad story I also so the movie about him. I hope Steven is resting peace.
Thanks for sharing, got to wonder how they find accomplices ? Crazy stuff, anyway good job and persistence, as always, Steve Thanks Bob
Thank you for sharing your video what a sad thing what happened to him very sad 🥺. stay safe out there.
Thanks, Olivia!
Jesse Stayner is Steven Stayner’s uncle he was 42 years old when he was mysteriously killed in his own home on Brantley Street in Merced California on December 26, 1990 with his .22 his murder has never been solved at the time Jerry lived with his nephew Cary Stayner
You should link Lamont at large video here since you mentioned it. I love Lamont At Large

Awesome, upload my friend. 😍🌺Thanks for sharing. 👍 Have a nice day.☺❤
I was born in Oakland California. Our Gang was long before my time. I have only seen a feq episodes. Great video. Thank you,Steve
Sad story all around..RIP STEVEN, TIMMY, (JOIE, CAROLE, JULIE, SVETLANA) ..CAREYS VICTIMS
🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
This is a heartbreaking story. Parnell should have been put under the jail. Stephen deserved so much better.
On another note, I owe you and your husband a big thank you. Thanks to you talking about his shingles I went and got my shot. I still have to get the second one but it is so worth it. I have stage 3 liver disease that is getting worse and I just couldn't imagine having shingles also. Thank you for sharing about the shingles.
That’s bizarre , wow , I hope everyone is having a wonderful day .
Another interesting story and great video. Thanks Steve.
Thanks for watching, Fred!
@@TheGraveyardChannel Would you consider visiting Edgar Rice Burrows.
Steve, you would make an excellent detective! Thank you for your determination in finding these people and for telling their stories....Deanna
Thanks Deanna!
always like your post love from Tasmania Australia
So nice of you, jr!
Steve, I love the way you edit and besides the good content that you have to watch. I would watch you just to watch how you pop in and pop out and that's pretty funny you're an original. Yeah I watch Lamont at large all the time he's getting to where he's pretty good. So I just wanted to say thanks and what a good job you do. Just saying
Thanks for the nice feedback, Marcum. I really appreciate that!
Jessy Stayner, the uncle buried next to Steven, was murdered in his home in 1990, and no arrest has ever been made. There is speculation that Cary killed Jessy, because they were living together in the home at the time.
OMG, I wondered why he died so young. That sure would make sense, wouldn’t it?! Thanks for sharing this with us Paul!
I'm from merced and was friends with Steven and cary in school. Thanks for all your information about this. It. It hurt alot of people when all this happened
Oh This story has haunted me for so long. I was so happy when he was found. I read a theory that he may have committed suicide by motorcycle. Can you imagine the PTSD and trauma he went through??
I was kind of wondering the same thing, V. :-(
Hi Steve 🙋🏽
This is very strange to say the least. I remember Cary Stayner was on TV for for murdering those women in Yosemite. Thanks for sharing this with US ‼️ have a awesome day 🙋🏽.
