Hi. I was born in Portugal and fondly remember my grandmother and other elderly relatives wearing this style at all times. But they were always in black. Thank you for the sharing work you do. I appreciate it deeply. Best wishes.
Thank you Patricia, I absolutely LOVE cardigans.
I love that you sew on a home sewing machine and have some of the same issues that I do. Thanks for this video!
Thank you, I appreciate that and thanks for watching.
Y r a natural, and y look fabulous in that blue great teaching skills
Thanks so much, I appreciate it and thanks for watching.
I'm a cardigan girl through and through. Cool snap tool, first time seeing one.
I love Cardigans as well and will definitely make more in 2018. That snap tool is a HUGE learning curve, but I got the hang of it, even though I messed up the last one - LOL! Thanks for watching.
I use the pivot method a lot too! Definitely an easier way to go and she has several good RUclips videos for it people had put online.
So true, I think it's a solid method for sure. Thanks so much for watching.
Lovely. I'm going to make a white short one for the summer . I bought the ponte today. Thank you for the video
Glad you found it helpful Elsie and thanks for watching.
Hi, just found you via Elizabeth made this! Love your channel. You are so honest about things it's lovely. Love love love the black cardi on you. That fabric is gorgeous! Look forward to some binge watching your videos. Xxx
Thank you Elizabeth! I really love the fabric of the Black one as well, the fabric was thicker than I thought, but it worked out PERFECT, thank you for watching.
Love the cardigans. Years ago I did the snaps wrong when making western style shirts for my dh. I used needle nose pliers to straighten the prongs with moderate success.
Ohhh, see I know I will not be successful with pliers, I don't think my eyes can take looking that long as something so small -LOL! Thanks so much for watching.
I love cardigans!!! I hope you had a great Christmas!
Thank you!!! Yes, I had a great Christmas, I pray you did as well and have a Blessed New Year.
Thank you for sharing! It's so helpful to see real life sewing !
Thanks so much and thanks for watching.
These are great makes. When you wore the blue one, my first word was "Wow" that color looks excellent on you. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much and thanks for watching.
Happy Holidays....nice looking cardis..........tip try using tissue paper (dollar store) to help stabilize the fabric......I know that it works well with performance fabrics from Joann's and it is more cost effective than embroidery stabilizer
Thanks Charlene, I have some of that as well. I like the embroidery stabilizer (I do embroidery and have tons of it) because it's more stable than the tissue paper. Thanks so much for watching and Happy Holidays to you as well.
Oh wow, I embroider as well, I have the PE770, I've embroidered pillow cases, towels, a hat, t-shirt, fabric sun glass case and anything I find interesting at the moment. Perhaps you could share some of your embroidery work with us or do a tutorial showing how you embroider and/or give us tips. Please consider it. Thanks
I have the SE400, which is smaller than the one you have, but I would like to share my embroidery, but I just started last year and I still have SOOO much to learn. So, as I get better in 2018, ( I do more embroidery for my business) I will certainly share. Thanks for the idea.
You are such an inspiration to me, a fellow curvy woman TRYING to sew a wardrobe. I have followed your journey and learned from you. Merry Christmas
Carolyn, thanks so much! In 2018 I will be increasing my skills as I have so much more to learn and get better at fitting my garments. Thanks so much for watching and stay tuned for 2018.
Another great video, thank you! The black cardigan is very classy and really suits you. I will definitely put this cardi on my must sew list😊 Merry Christmas Jill 🇨🇦
Thanks so much Jill! It's quite the easy sew, I'm sure you will enjoy it! Thanks for watching.
You have inspired me to make some knit jersey sweater sets. You look so great in those colors. I look forward to the snap demo. I like sewing with knits and using a serger. I also use Nancy Z's pivot method. I've tried them all.
Thanks so much, I appreciate it. I have SOOOO much more to learn, but it has been an exciting journey so far. Thank you for watching.
Lovely, just lovely cardigans! I am so happy you posted the “snap” mishap, because I was beginning to think I was the only person who did things like that! LOL!! Also, that black cardi will match my jeans perfectly...want to send it to me? ✈️✈️✈️ LOL!!
HAHAHAH....NOOOO you can't have my Black Cardi...you are like Carol (LOL). Yes, can you believe it, put all those snaps in wrong. Oh well, I'll get new ones and do it over. Thanks so much for watching.
Love the cardigans! Have a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year
Thank you Laura and you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well!
Lovely cardigans and so very useful to have a few colours. I haven't made this one but may have a go😉. Merry Christmas to you and thank you so much for all your great videos over the year 😁😘
Thanks so much! I'm glad you've enjoyed the videos and a very Merry Christmas to you as well. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the sew along! I am knit phobic! But might give one of these a try. Merry Christmas!
Hi Elizabeth Merry Christmas to you as well, I hope you day was relaxing. Yes, do give this pattern a try, it was really easy and oh so very comfortable. Thanks for watching.
Hello.ur cardigans are so beautiful. Terrible what happened to snaps. Just an idea, what about using a jewelry pliers to straighten the prongs.
Thank you! I don't have jewelry pliers and the prongs are super tiny, not sure my eyes will be able to withstand staring at it for too long - LOL!
You did a fantastic job on your projects. Great video. I must purchase this pattern. Merry Christmas!!
Hey Monique! Thank you thank you thank you! You will definitely love this easy sew! Have a Blessed Christmas!
Hello I love watching your vlog, I have learned so much. I was wondering where your ordered your snaps
Thank you! I ordered them from The Snap Source, the link to where I bought them is in the description box. Thanks for watching.
Two different ways to use an iron, one is ironing, sliding the iron back and forth, the other is pressing, picking up the iron and setting it back down and pressing it into the fabric, no sliding! Then pick it up move it then set it back down. Whenever you see press on a pattern direction or on the label of ready wear clothes you lift and set it back down. This is so you don’t stretch the fabric or the pattern tissue.
👍🏽👍🏽I know the difference, but thanks 😉
NaturalDane hi it’s me again, I hope I didn’t offend you, I didn’t mean to, please forgive me, I was commenting for other people who are just getting started with sewing and didn’t know there was a difference. I enjoy your videos and your sewing abilities, but what I love is, that you are a plus size woman and you dress so well you make beautiful clothes for yourself, I on the other hand, am a plus size and have five t-shirt tops, two yoga pants, three leggings, and a sweater that my daughter gave me for Christmas, that’s it! Can you imagine that? I’ve been putting off dressing well, “until I loose weight”, for the last 15 years. Watching you sew has been like therapy to me, why shouldn’t I have beautiful clothes? What am I doing, fat shaming myself? Crazy ness.
No worries, offense taken. Glad you are enjoying the videos and I'm even more happy to hear that you will start sewing beautiful pieces for the size you are as you continue on your weightloss journey.
