    Just saw this and am getting ready to make a striped polo shirt for my husband. Your pattern matching tips are exactly what I needed to know! Your videos have helped me sew knits, which I just started doing a few months ago. Super valuable info in each one! Thanks 😊

    I'm slowly watching my way through your videos, as I just discovered your channel. This is SO helpful! I have watched so many videos and read a lot about "pattern matching". NOBODY suggested using one already cut pattern piece as a way to match up patterns on split front or back panel pieces. They'll have you draw the pattern on the piece, or lay them out next to each other, yes, even duplicating pieces so you can avoid the fold...all helpful, but your tips? The most practical.

    Thanks! My biggest problem is putting on the long band that goes down the front. Sometimes I get it right, but others it tends to pucker.

    • @Thelaststitch
      @Thelaststitch  5 лет назад

      Do you mean the front collar band? If you have a serger, experiment with the differential feed. If using a sewing machine, use wonder clips and gently push the upper layer towards the presser foot, while stretching out the under layer just slightly

    Super helpful. I will use every single tip. I’ve never thought about a blind hem. Now I want to try. I have your exact same serger. May I ask the name or number if the foot you’re using to install the clear elastic on your shoulders?

    • @Thelaststitch
      @Thelaststitch  5 лет назад

      Thank you! It's actaully the standard foot for BabyLock sergers, it has a narrow slot. There is also another BabyLock, made for elastic that you can adjust that's awesome too
