Thankyou Karina, I really love your videos they are the best instructional videos out there, for information on the pattern, helpful details and excellent instructions
Beautiful top. Another reason for vertical stretch is the neckbands need that stretch around the neck area. I love this top. I like your reasoning for inset sleeves. Great video.
Gorgeous pattern matched beautifully with the black skirt . You are so right about itch to stitch patterns . So beautifully drafted . A very versatile pattern .
This is incredibly flattering on you, Karina! Not your usual colors so that shows how a good fitting top can look amazing on a person no matter the color. Well done. I’m off to buy using your link!
Love this top! It fits you perfectly! Thank you for explaining the reason for sewing sleeves in the round instead of on the flat. I've been sewing for years and never knew this.
Karina, thank you for the sleeve tip, I have sewn knit sleeves flat and wondered why they were not comfortable, now I understand. Your tutorials are so good .
Thank you for the explanation about sewing sleeves in versus seeing flat....now I realize I want to go back to sewing them in! That was a really helpful tip for me! (especially because I"m always looking for the easiest way to do something!)
Thank you for sharing the information about the 2 lengthen/shorten lines! I don't see it in the description on the site and it will be so helpful for me to have two places to shorten. I also appreciate that you explained why you do the sleeves in the round. I knew there was a reason for it but I couldn't remember why.
Beautiful top! I’ve never used snaps before, I think I might give them a go. Thanks for sharing 😊 We call those berries Mulberries in Australia. They are delicious and ours are coming into season now too.
I remember mulberries from when my children were little, we would go to the paddock to collect them and (eat them) and they would come back mulberry coloured all over their faces and down their fronts. They’re in their 30’s and 40’s now and still have fond memories of our mulberry picking trips. ❤️❤️❤️
Ohoooo Karina - you mentioned going to Chile for your fabric and I thought about how you helped me find the shops when I was there on vacation. Fond memories. It would be so fun to go shopping there with you! Love this new pattern. I’ll be sure to use your affiliate link. Hugs from Oregon!
Hi Karina! Stylish as always! You inspired me to make one. Was going to put buttons, but the band is so narrow that regular button hole only fits vertically and then it woyld gape at the bust. So opted for snaps and it turned out great. Thanks for the idea!
I actually always do vertical buttonholes all the time and my trick is to make them snug to the button size. The only time I make horizontal buttonholes is on jackets.
I wasn't too sure about this one, but you made it so flattering. It's a go. Also, we have a sweet and tart berry that looks very similar. It grows wild here around my home on a woody vine. We call them blackberries. I wonder if they are in the same family?? You can purchase them in our grocery stores also, those are very very large.
I know blackberries very well. These are very different because they grow in a tree and there are zero thorns anywhere. I love all berries and these are a great snack :)
Great video as always. I have a question. Do the plastic snaps stay in place with constant snapping and unsnapping? I will be making some baby clothing and have always used metal snaps in the past. Thank you and continue the great videos.
Karina, I love your top and I always love your makes. I would like to ask if you can explain how to do the sleeve hem when the pattern piece has that little triangle bit. I've always cut that off because I don't know how that folds back without sticking out?? Do you have a video showing that please?
Please don’t cut the little triangle off. It’s supposed to be there for the hem to lay flat. If you notice, the sleeve has an angle going in and the triangle will follow that shape when you fold it up. This will give you a hem without puckers. There’s no special technique. Just fold up and sew.
Karina, I have to work with 2 different sizes how do I do my front band? I did a 8 on top then graded to a 10 for waist and hip. Do I do the same for the front band?

I have the most weird shape: to look at me, I look fairly slim, but I am 5'2, 7st.4lb, UK size 10/12 shoulders, 32 DD bust, UK size 8/10 waist, UK size 6/8 hips, no butt at all!! I'm basically a triangle with a blob head..! So no basic pattern for a dress ever works, really frustrating in shops too, so the struggle to resize patterns are real!!
I understand why your husband and son like this beautiful top-you look amazing in it!
I found you yesterday! I am going to binge watch while I sew. I may even push my home decor aside and make this!
You always pick out the prettiest fabric. I really enjoy watching you.
Thank you for so clearly explaining why you prefer set in sleeves.
Thankyou Karina, I really love your videos they are the best instructional videos out there, for information on the pattern, helpful details and excellent instructions
Glad you like them!
What a lovely classic style. I never thought about snaps.
That looks beautiful on you 🥰
So pretty. Your tutorial is excellent and full of valuable expert tips. Really inspiring.

I love your tutorial! Thanks goodness for snaps! I just picked up this pattern today!
Love this top! It fits you perfectly! Thank you for explaining the reason for sewing sleeves in the round instead of on the flat. I've been sewing for years and never knew this.
I'm embarrassed to say I bought the snap setter last year and haven't used it yet...so thanks for your tutorial!
Karina, thank you for the sleeve tip, I have sewn knit sleeves flat and wondered why they were not comfortable, now I understand. Your tutorials are so good .
You are so welcome!
Thank you for sharing your detail tutorial. Just purchased the pattern through your link.
Thorough, insightful and pretty.

Beautiful fit, you’ve sold me on this pattern 👍
Hope you enjoy it!
100° here, too --- 1st day of autumn in my Southern California village. Handy tip about identifying sleeve shoulder curves! Thank you, again.
You're so welcome :)
Love mulberries!
Thank you for the snap tutorial! I purchased a set several years ago, but have never tried them yet!! I know, crazy!
Love the snaps
They are so fast and easy to pop on :)
I just had to get this top. It reminds me of a favorite top I had years ago that I wore all the time. Can't wait to make this one!
Beautiful top! I can’t wait to make it!👍
You'll love it :)
What a nice print, so cool on:-)
I have some left over for a nice skirt :)
The top is so flattering and the fit is absolutely spot on. You look gorgeous!
Thank you so much :)
Excellent as always. Thank you.
You're so welcome :)
Looks fabulous
Wonderful tutorial and I appreciate the snap show and tell. Tomorrow is the first day of fall for me. May the change of season bring joy to all.
Spring started here :) Love it.
Beautiful top! I’ve never used snaps before, I think I might give them a go. Thanks for sharing 😊
We call those berries Mulberries in Australia. They are delicious and ours are coming into season now too.
They grow in the USA as well. I have lots of volunteer mulberries around my yard.
Thank you for the name of the berries. I'd never seen these before coming to live in Brazil. They are called amoras here.

Thank you so much :)
Thank you. Great video and information as always. Lovely top. I also loved your skirt. What pattern was that please?
I get so many questions about my skirt. I made the pattern myself from my measurements. There is no pattern available for it.
I wasn't too sure about this one, but you made it so flattering. It's a go.

Love this on you! I’ve been hoping for a simple, attractive, knit pattern like this. I have a lovely Cotton Lycra this would be perfect for.
Sounds great! this is a great basic but not so basic:)
It looks amazing, another 100, can you let me know which skirt you are wearing, I would love to copy you

Thanks for the excellent video. Did you have to adjust for sway back? I’ve been doing more sewing for my daughters because they’re easier to fit.
I always mention my adjustments, so if I didn’t mention swayback, it’s because I didn’t need to 😀

@@LiftingPinsandNeedles thank you so much for your time to reply. I can't picture in my head how to do it, but I will try. Thanks again.
@@maidenmakes it’s a little pivot where the triangle flares out at the hem. Then you fold up the hem and it’s even and not puckering.
Karina, I have to work with 2 different sizes how do I do my front band? I did a 8 on top then graded to a 10 for waist and hip. Do I do the same for the front band?
Cut the band on the size 8 line on the top and the line for size 10 at the bottom
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles Thank you!🙂❤
For some unknown reason, I can’t get my purchase done for the Fox top. Can you tell me who to ask? I enjoy your videos so much.

Karina, I don’t work with snaps often, could you tell me what size snaps you use for shirts
I use kam number 12
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles then that’s what I will use. Thank you ❤️

Love this pattern, but only want printed patterns.
All the patterns have an A0 file so they can be printed in a large format at the printers.
hi karina beautiful as usual
Thank you so much 😀
I just ordered the Ford pattern. Thank you for sharing your talents with us 🇺🇸
Sorry it's supposed to say Foz pattern
