Is this controller the replacer for the DDJ-RX ..? because they sell the RX anymore... :(
The only issue with Release FX is that is also turns off your filter knob.. my gosh its so frustrating that it also turns off the filter effect on the filter knob.
also, there are not any cfx keyboard options
oooof very helpful
I've been DJing for 22 years now, just got a ddj1000 and this has been one of, if not the most useful video I've watched so far. Great tips.
The mapping of the sampler rec/play button made everything for me
I really like the options you get with editing the pads. Like, I never use beat jump so that entire section is about to get reassigned. Thanks for the vid.
i waited over a year to buy one of these and it was the best decision i ever made! Never get tired of starting it up🤤
Same man it’s such a amazing peace of work
@@DJraine316 Same man, got mine last week and the Cut Lag on the Crossfader is offset :(
0.3mm on Deck A but i have to go to 0.9mm on Deck B to stop the Sound Bleeding then Deck A cuts are not very Sharp, so its going back, super Pissed man, gonna have to wait another Year for more Stock for a replacement no doubt :(
@@bigdaz7272 Wow that blows man :/
Got mine today. So happy I found one, cause they’re out of stock almost everywhere
Nice. Saving up for one now!
One of your best videos yet! All the tips were extremely helpful, and I found the midi rewriting one with the sampler recording to be the most helpful. It's gonna add a huge element to my sets now! You're the man
What a great tutorial on some tips that I didn’t know. Thank you Jamie! Really well explained! Just got the ddj in a couple of days ago and this really helps to get some extra powerful knowledge on the controller and thus even better mixes! Cheers!
Thank you for posting this. The color effects parameter adjustment was my fav.
Thank you Jamie for this tutorial, i learned a lot of new things that i didn't know they were possible!! Keep up the good work, cheers!
Hi Jamie one more awesome tutorial as always...my fav tip is NO.2 MIDI MAPPING..i jus loved it very useful.. thank u so much..keep u da good work #WeAreCrossfader
TIP#2 is totally genius. I've been watching a ton of videos trying to find out where the play and record is for the sequencer and had no luck. Didn't think about mapping it until watching this. Thank you
thank you thank thank you!! makes life so much less complicated, great stuff Jamie !
Your video’s are great bro. We need you to do more videos on the DDJ-1000!!!!!! Keep up the great work! Love how you instruct :)
Great video Jamie. Tip 4 is my favourite. Having the countdown to next cue point is really useful on tracks you may have only listened too once or twice and makes mixing them well a lot easier.
I think my favorite tip was the color effects parameters setting. Nice to see you can tone down those effects which are a bit much. Thanks for all the great tips!
#wearecrossfader
So much detail thank you for this! You're doing god's work!
Every vid you guys keep coming up with exciting new tips, love the weekly live Q&A's on the Facebook page!
The first ever helpful and critical tip in this episode, is the one that most people forget about, when they get their hands on a new setup!
UPDATE your drivers, get the latest version of the Rekorbox and Firmware!
Remember that you deserve everything from what it can give to you!
Take a little bit of time and make it Tip-Top shape when you hit the decks!
#WeAreCrossfader
Tip #1 is my favorite, it’s a great way to mix and match and get creative which is something that can really set you apart from other dj’s. I love your videos, keep up the great work! #WeAreCrossfader
Thanks for the MIDI mapping tip. I just turned my SLIP buttons to do preview play/stop. Never use slip mode, and that button sits nicely next to the browse rotary. Works like a charm!
Love your stuff Jamie! My fave tip is #5 - Crossfader Curve - I've been wanting to learn how to scratch for a long time - this will come in handy! Keep on doing what you're doing! #WeAreCrossfader
So did you ever learn how to scratch?
I totally dug the 1st tip about modifying the pad buttons to comply with your own personal style of playing, so that you can choose what effects and controls you want to be readily available to you. Something Pioneer needs to extend to all their controllers.
#WeAreCrossfader
Yeah I'd also love to see it extended to all Rekordbox controllers. Fingers crossed for it! Thanks for watching and commenting.
thanks for putting this together, I learned a lot!
The 1st tip is definitely the best. Customizing the pad shortcuts as you want, so you can bring the mixer's performance to your personal DJing style, no matter how this style is. Plus, the capacity of having 16 shortcuts on two 8-buttoned panels, increasing its possibilities. #WeAreCrossfader thanks for these videos :)
I find all these tips really useful, but particularly the remapping. Love my DDJ-1000, but really struggling to make ‘it mine’. Going to give this a whirl! Thanks Jamie and Crossfader 👌🏾🎛🎚🎧 #WeAreCrossfader
I really like tip #1 with editing the pad effect. This is a very creative way of doing something different than the next DJ.
Fantastic video Jamie. As always. Great production. The search is on for the best Black Friday deal on a DDj1000
i like the tip #3 fx parameter specially the combinations of release FX and Fx. For me that was an awesome.
Thank you #Crossfader for sharing us your knowledge all the way.
I really appreciate you!
Hi Jamie, as always great Video. My fav. Tip was # 3 FX Parameter, but also # 1 was awesome. Regards from Germany.
One of a million video that's very helpful. God bless you with more knowledge. Great help
Great video! The best tip was the midi mapping one for sure. I've been trying to change up my midi mapping on my controller and it clarified a lot. Thanks so much for the videos! #WeAreCrossfader
Resonance control thank youuuuuuuuuu. Pad mode editing is pretty rad, too.
Love tip #5 the scratching tip is something I’m learning how to do right now ! I love these videos and crops fader school/website keep them coming!!!! #wearecrossfader
#WeAreCrossfader
My favourite tip is the #2! Not only midimapping gives you the chance to customize your controller but you can also add buttons (like the missing color-fx selectors on my ddj-400) with some small midi pad units!!!
Love your tutorials thanks!!!🔥🔥
Great set of tips . Tip #1 was my favourite . Keep up the good work
#WeAreCrossfader tip no 5 is my favourite and most useful for me. Didn't know I could tighten the cross fader up! Thanks guys
We're glad you learnt something new!
Tip 5 has got to be my favourite! Scratching on a controller is really something =P
Awesome as always #WeAreCrossfader!
My favourite for sure TIP #5
Keep up the good work and thanks :)
omg I never noticed the colour FX parameter saved each colour setting individually. I was waiting for an update so we can finally map it. thanks for the tip :)
DOPENESS!!! Thanks this is very useful Salute
Great video, my favorite tip midi mapping, keep a good work. congratulations! 😊
Has to be the sound colour effect parameters! Thanks so much for that! And online course for the RX2 would be amazing Jamie 👊🏽 keep up the good work!
Watching all the way from South Africa love the videos helps me so much thank you
Great to hear, thanks for watching! Hi from England!
Another great tutorial from Crossfader! To be honest, my favourite tip would be the ones with the FX - tip #3 - as I'm the type of person that really like to add things to the song & make it my own and this tip really helped me with that. Cheers! #WeAreCrossfader
amazing tips, thanks for all these suggestions !!
I always thought you had to go through the MIDI settings in order to just change what pad modes actually triggered any modes I wanted to use, so tip #1 was really handy to find out for me!
#WeAreCrossfader
You save my life with the sound color effects tip :) thank you very much! Do you know if I can add a decimal point to the BPM in the Jog Wheels? Would be great to have 2 as in the software. The problem is that the BPM is not very accurate in comparison to the program...
I learned a lot from you today, thank you very much :)
Thank you, that was so helpful!!!
I love this video. Thanks for your share.
The tip I'll be using the most is #5, the Crossfader Curve tip! Great job, Jamie!!
#WeAreCrossfader
You’re the man :) !!!! Love your content

Thank you #WeAreCrossfader for the useful tips :)
Thumbs up for great content. Amazing tip on the sampler recorder
It's our pleasure and thanks for watching!
Wow!! Nice tricks, thanks!
I really liked the midi mapping to add the sampler recorder because I've wanted to make live remixes on the fly to add more flare in my Mixes, can't wait to get this controller and set this up to show off my skills. #WeAreCrossfader
These tricks are not only helpfull for ddj1000 it can be done on almost any controller. Thanks allot for the ideas.
Love the tip #4, customizing the jog wheels is a pretty neat feature (I personally use just DDJ 400 so it’s like doing magic 😊) #WeAreCrossfader
All are great tips but my favorite one is Number two!!! Midi mapping :)
Many thanks once again for the great tips!! 🎧🔊
#WeAreCrossfader
Hi, thanks for your videos. Can you make a video with Ddj 1000 and 2 computers connected, like if 2 djs were changing positions using the same controller. Thanks
Super awesome video, keep it up
Awesome video thank you 🥳
wow... i have the DDJ 400, and this is very inspiring! thanks !
The ddj-1000 is so powerful!! 🤯
Thanks for all the tips!
Really informative video for a user of the DDJ-1000! Will be using the pad editor to full effect once I can get my head around how to use the sequencer... #WeAreCrossfader
Yeah pad editor is probably my favourite too!
I learned a lot from this video. My favorite tip was #1 (then #3) as I'm new to Rekorbox. Thanks a lot Crosffader! 👍😀
Loved the pitch-play with the pads during #1. Thank you for your channel and lessons.
#WeAreCrossfader

I like the crossfade tip and setting the echo out on the cue pads
Pad effect tip is the one for me although there all top tips!!
Liking the pad editor. Changes the game
Tip #2 was very useful and I'm going to try it! Using the record & play buttons for sampling is much simpler if you have the buttons on the controller! Thanks for all your videos and tips. #WeAreCrossfader
Thanks for the info was very helpful.
Great tips. My favourite is enabling release FX with the shift key, very handy! #WeAreCrossfader
Remapping is pretty handy, I changed the sync button on my ddj rb to auto loop on/off and remapped the loop in/out buttons to 1/2 or x2 loop length.
Thanks for vídeos like this.
Being a beginner I’m always looking at ways to perfect my phrasing so my favourite tip has got to be customising the jog wheel view to show the countdown until your next hot cue. Love the vids, keep up the good work #WeAreCrossfader
