  • I will be trying a $40 reed valve kit, a $40 mikuni carburetor and a $30 windowed piston all from Amazon to see if I will get more power out of my motorized bike

    With just port work (simple port work) you will get best bang for your buck. Even with the reed valve you can change the port durations a bit and get way more outta it.

    Great video! You might want to read about porting the exhaust port, since you have increase the intake volume and cylinder volume at the same stroke, the exhaust gasses must escape quickly. În other words increasing the cylinder bore will increase the pressure în the crankcase chamber wich will afect the transfer. Bigger îs not allways better. Bigger bore you have to raise the exhaust port a bit for smoother transfer and higher rpm. Read about it we all began like this. Cheers!

    You might find you'll get better performance with a smaller mm carburetor. And if you spent 30bucks for a mikuni carb its definitely a clone loved the video man I'm subscribed keep doing what your doing and hope to see your channel grow. Love peace and axel grease from peacedale rhode island. From those few throttle blurbs at the end of the video it sounds like its rich I'd down jet a few steps and also check and see if the reed valve is opening properly

      @@sliprope6674 I have the same intake and reed set up and I use a OKO or PK 21MM Carb. It will fit your rubber boot that you have no problem! depending on your elevation they only have Idle jets as small as .30 and up so if you are over 4500ft in elevation that will not work. This and a little Porting and You will be doing 45+mph.As long as you are not over 150 pounds that is. lol I enjoyed watching You work and learn all at the same time my friend. I have been building these motors for over 49 years and I am still learning from Kids building there first one! Stay safe out there!🙏🏻👍🤣

    With the CDI you have in the box I’m pretty sure you have to remove the top metal piece with pliers in order for it to fit in the CDI. It unscrews

    • @sliprope6674
      @sliprope6674  Год назад

      Yeah I realized that but the spark plug that comes with the kit is so small the cap doesn’t unscrew, it’s a part of the plug. I ended up using a name brand NGK plug and took the cap off so I could use the aftermarket cdi

    Does the Reed valves and window piston actually work I seen a dyno test here on RUclips and the guy was losing horsepower and torque not sure why .... I have a casted jug Head combo I can't remove the head it's all one piece but I put the Reed valve kit and windowed piston double slotted window piston if this reduces horsepower I'll just put it back to stock before I mount on a bike and find out it sucks

      It’s not worth it don’t waste your money. My bike has the stock carb and a 36t sprocket and slip has the big carb and reed valves and a 32t Tooth sprocket. Mine goes 38 mph his goes 40 mph. When he added the reed valves and carb he went from 37mph to 40 mph. Not a big difference for $100

    You didn't buy a Mikuni carb. You bought a Maikuni carb. Anytime you add a different carb you need to rejet it. I think your carb might be too big for your engine. Anyway good luck and hope you get it running good.

    You might be able to just shorten the piston skirt and make your windowed-piston work, it's probably just a factory defect that they expect you to fix, I'm about 90% sure that's the right piston, a piece of sandpaper on the floor would do that job,👍, awesome video, thanks for sharing.
