Interesting. In the trailer Frankenstein calls out "Karl" when he crashes the party yet in the movie as eventually released he says nothing. The change makes sense as Frankenstein would have wanted to hide his association with Karl but it does explain why Karl spins around so quickly to look at Frankenstein. It''s because he originally had heard his name being called out. There are many other examples of trailers using footage that was later edited out of the final product. Always fascinating to see these excised bits.
That's not what you call "new footage". Trailers are cut together whilst a film is still in production so what you're often seeing is an unfinished product before the final edit is made.
Quite often a film is still in the editing stage when the trailer comes out so sometimes bits would make it into the trailer but not the movie. Some stuff ends up a deleted scene on the dvd. It can annoy people now though to see a film and find out lots of things in the trailer are not there. Like Rouge One.
This is the only movie in the Hammer's Frankenstein series I do not have on Blu Ray as a stand alone. Yes,I do have it but its accompanied by other films.
Come on...... Every decade has some good horror movies. Except 2000-2010, unless you consider One Hour Photo a horror movie because that's as unsettling and creepy as anything you'll see. The House of the Devil is also quite good.
This is the only Frankenstein Hammer House of Horror movie I don't have. It looks awesome!! I need it to complete my collection!! I have all the DRACULA Hammer House of Horror movies, Christopher Lee is the QUINTESSENTIAL Dracula!!
He plays the villain in the Frankenstein movies, though in the Evil of Frankenstein he is more Sympathetic. In the Mummy and Dracula though he plays the hero. Also the hero in The Island of Terror.
Haha yep that's why I came here, Dad saw this at the pictures in Ngaruawahia his/my home town, and whenever we watched a touch of class episode of Fawlty towers he would explain this scene and parts of the movie to us in great detail
The trailer is just as rewatchable as the movie itself. It tells it's own story.
oh absolutely
One of Hammers best films !
love trailers that add new footage that isnt in the movie

What he meant by "new footage" was obvious.

The vintage Hammer films have really great Cinematography as well as Enjoyable action, dialogue and scenery
This is too intense, I can't handle it, I'm going to faint!
One of my favorites.....

At least you have it. This is the only one I'm missing from my collection!!
Horror films were lit back in the '50s
When they still made proper horror films.
Come on......

That's the set from "Dracula" in the background of the opening shot.
Angus Lamont yeah I think Hammer did that a lot

Going to watch this tonight at Stockport Plaza 😍
I'm 53 and I've never heard of this film before today.
He's avenging the death of the creature he created *AND* destroyed ?
He's loco, recall.
Love this film 🎥🎥🎥
This film is even better than The Reptile. I know this flies in the face of convention but it's absolutely true.
of course, the reptile while good isn't in the top 20
Did Cushing wind up getting a villain role in this movie? Or was it not until Star Wars when he did?
He plays the villain in the Frankenstein movies, though in the Evil of Frankenstein he is more Sympathetic. In the Mummy and Dracula though he plays the hero. Also the hero in The Island of Terror.
Lord Melbury from Fawlty Towers as the Monster.
Haha yep that's why I came here, Dad saw this at the pictures in Ngaruawahia his/my home town, and whenever we watched a touch of class episode of Fawlty towers he would explain this scene and parts of the movie to us in great detail
Peter Cushing aka FRANKENSTEINNNN is still the coolest actor in Hammer Films 🎥 👺 ⛈️ 🏰
Im looking for a Frankenstein movie where he puts his arm out and you see it in an aquarium.
"Dhe Revenge of Frankenstein" (1958) scared dhe pants off me; [hellstormdocumentary]dot[com] truly horrified me.
Four dislikes so far! The exact number of the Horsemen of Apocalypse!Coincidence? I don't think so, gentlemen...
Incorrect - This isn't 'Revenge of...' it's 'The Curse of Frankenstein' Hammer's finest Frankenstein foray after the original Karloff one on my book.
marcjboy1 Incorrect: this IS "Revenge of Frankenstein". Jeeeesh...did you even watch the video?
Well, this is the trailer for the Revenge of Frankenstein but the first third of the trailer shows clips from The Curse of Frankenstein.
@@1MRBASSMAN The beginning of Revenge has the clips from Curse just like in the trailer. They did the same thing with Dracula-Prince of Darkness.
No this is revenge, as you can see when the words revenge of frankenstein appear on screen and they footage from the movie revenge of frankenstein
Eunice Gayson was gorgeous
Never seen this one, it looks pretty bad..but a good nights viewing after a couple!
One of Hammer's best in my opinion.
METV has this Movie on at 8pm EST.
It's pretty good, but Curse and Created Woman are better.
In my opinion, it’s better than all the later entries. “Curse” and “Revenge” are the only two 2 in this franchise that I enjoy.
