She's a vision of loveliness ... with a murderous mission from beyond the grave!
In this "most conceptually wild and outrightly science-fictional of the Hammer Frankenstein films" (Moria Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy Film Review), Baron Frankenstein (Peter Cushing) and Dr. Hertz (Thorley Walters) are embarking upon an experiment to capture the souls of the dead and impose them into other bodies. When their assistant, Hans (Robert Morris), is unjustly accused of murdering his girlfriend Christina's father and is himself put to death, the two men claim his body and trap his soul in their laboratory. Meanwhile, Christina (Susan Denberg) is consumed with grief over the death of her beloved Hans and commits suicide.
Frankenstein and Dr. Hertz are able to transfer Hans' soul into Christina's healed body, which results in a vision of beauty. Their experiment appears successful until Frankenstein discovers that Christina's seductive appetites are being driven by the spirit of Hans and his passion for revenge ...

We always enjoyed Peter Cushing - Looks great! Got it from NetFlix DVD 👍
The actor playing the jailor, - who does not - for some reason get a screen credit - is Kevin Flood - a fine actor and nice man - I worked on stage with him back in the 1980s - I believe he is still with us.
Peter Cushing was a wonderful Frankenstien its a big shame Christopher lee wasnt in more Frankenstein films.
Peter Cushing was a legend.
Different approach to the tale. Terrence Fisher also seems to be on top form, with the usual precise framing intercut with some quicker cut scenes than normal and even some rapid zooms.Cushing once again is magnificent, especially when he shows Frankenstein’s exasperation at his aides not being anywhere near as clever as he is. His Frankenstein is almost a variation on Sherlock Holmes, a person so intellectually superior to those around him that it pains him that everybody else seems so thick by comparison. Thorley Walters shines in probably his best Hammer role, even though the part is rather like Dr. Zargo in Rasputin The Mad Monk. He plays especially well some moments where he seems to have a little crush on Christina.
And Susan Denberg was such a beauty. Can't quite put my finger on it but, there was just something to her look.
RIP Peter Cushing❤❤❤❤
RIP Derek Fowlds
Que bellos pies tenía Susan denberg
