Even Jordan needed a team around him. That was the difference in the first stage of Jordan's career and then when he finally got over the Pistons hump and got his first chip. He had a team finally built around him and got a coach that didn't rely on him to do everything in the games. The problem is people like to make the argument that Pippen made Jordan. The fact is you put Pippen on any other team in the NBA at that time. He doesn't become anywhere close to the player he became with out Jordan. Jordan took all those guys who had talent like Pippen and Grant and molded them into top tier NBA players with the help of Phil of course and his coaching strategy with the triangle. Nobody mentions that the game is not officiated today - for example, nobody calls traveling any more and leflop always travels when driving. Even Jordan needed a team around him. That was the difference in the first stage of Jordan's career and then when he finally got over the Pistons hump and got his first chip. He had a team finally built around him and got a coach that didn't rely on him to do everything in the games. The problem is people like to make the argument that Pippen made Jordan. The fact is you put Pippen on any other team in the NBA at that time. He doesn't become anywhere close to the player he became with out Jordan. Jordan took all those guys who had talent like Pippen and Grant and molded them into top tier NBA players with the help of Phil of course and his coaching strategy with the triangle. On the other side. Who did Lebron make better? He didn't. He joined players that were already top tier talent to win championships, and even that in many years wasn't enough as the Spurs whipped him until they got too old. Lebron doesn't have the leadership that Jordan had, and he certainly doesn't have that assassins mentality that Jordan had. The only player that can even come close to what Jordan was is Kobe Bryant.
