I gotta say Wyatt hit it out of the park always doing an awesome job the Turbo system looks sick Also can't wait to see Wyatt's truck fully put together and on the road It's gonna be special
8:20 Now that you bring it up, a Kevlar rear seat cushion would be much appreciated. I wouldn't want a new fangled oil-less turbo spinning 80,000 rpm inches from my tender bits.
You should put some stick on sound deadening on the engine bay cover to help with that engine noise when at high idle cruising. Sweet build! Proud of you boiz!
One thing I might suggest as a precaution. When you're direct drive, you decelerate as fast as you accelerate. So snapping the throttle and making the engine shutdown quickly could cause a severe lean condition for a brief moment. Maybe it doesn't hurt the first few rips. But eventually the extra heat will build up and could eventually lead to engine failure. So maybe keep that in mind for the best chance of keeping her running for a long time and a good time
@@dcskate1022 How so? When you're off throttle, it no longer delivers the desired amount of fuel for the rpm you are at, while there is still air present. When this happens, there is still more air than fuel. Thus causing a lean condition. And even if it did cause a rich condition, it would still not be great for the engine. Because it also heavily retards timing when you're not on throttle, basically flooding the engine with air. No matter who is right, the engine still isn't having a great time being loaded up hard under boost and then shutting down almost immediately. Especially with the engine still being stock bottom end. My goal in sending this message was as a precaution. I know a fair bit about how engines work. And I may be wrong about what I said. But the fact still remains that it's not good for longevity to do what they were doing. If it hucks a rod because of too much boost, that's 1 thing. But when it hucks a rod just for testing, it hits a bit different
@@richardwilliams9181 I don't think it's a bother, rebuilding is another 2 or three videos for the business + write off. And wouldn't they see that in the logs? With Brent being there with Wyatt you know Kyle got the best eyes on the project.
@@WeTheEpicCanadians I'm sure it would show up in the log. But like I was saying, it would only be for a brief moment. So it wouldn't seem like much to worry about. brent looks like a young whipper snapper lol love it mannnn your positive energy despite whatever you go through is what we need more of in the world !!!
I seen these turbos years ago and always wondered how long they will last with the grease cartridge design. Will be interesting to see how long it will last with the boosted bois spec maintenance schedules.
When tuning jet boats, a thing I learned from watching Mike Finnegan tune his jet boats was that tuning on the water is like tuning an engine on a water brake dyno. It will only rev to the power it makes. More RPM is more power. it's pretty cool.
I recommend putting two hose clamps on the exhaust elbow connections, gives a little extra redundancy. It's common practice on boats since if that comes loose it can sink a boat pretty quick
@@dcskate1022 Why not put another $5 clamp on that could potentially save your boat from sinking? That rubber boot is the only thing between you and a big hole in the boat lol
I noticed most popular Ytubers don't put out much content when they get big, just wanna say thanks boosstedboiys! For given us awesome videos... and Brent..dang cleaned up lol
"I hope to crack 50" -My 2012 Bayliner 170, 17 foot boat, with a 90 hp Mercury on the back can go 40 mph. I sure hope that your much smaller aluminum boat can reach 50 mph with a hell of a lot more power!

As long as nothing has changed with your pump its basically a dyno. There should be a chart available for that pump with different impellers that will show hp based on rpm.
Dam that thing is sick u guys build the sickest Honda power stuff love it been watching the channel since the beginning of your channel proud of u guy wish u guys and Brent could have a shop together again I love the Colorado garage where it all began
This is so awesome! I know you guys have put a ton of work into the boat but I can't help but wonder how much better it would be balanced with the gas tank and battery moved to the other side or maybe two smaller tanks.
Awesome build. I love the channel. But I think it was a great sign it looked a little sketchy holding the wheel with one hand at that speed. Stay safe and continue the great work and content. 🙏 can't wait to see the Wyatt's pickup dyno video
Next time you should place a gopro in the engine bay pointing towards the turbo, i think you will be amazed how insanely hot the exhaust housing gets compared to when this engine would be in a car.
Remember, that watercooled exhaust manifold is going to be pulling thermal energy out of the exhaust gases, so a lower boost than expected isn't unexpected.
She was RIPPIN! good thing it's just a starter, in the scheme of things a lot could have gone wrong, a lot of "first times" on this build. Next time out with a little more boost and some timing, I think "YOOOOO" is gonna be said at least a few times. That K isn't even trying yet
