It's a 1:4 ratio, so no matter what size you can get (in oz or ml) just do 1 part half-and-half (single cream in the UK) to 4 parts filtered water to do this recipe. As whole milk is usually 4% fat, this recipe is 1% fat, which is quite a bit more than any skim milk (usually around 0.1-0.3%).
I've used your idea for this milk to make a low calorie and low carb non-dairy milk with Thai coconut milk. I use 1/3 C unsweet coconut milk plus 3C water. Works out to be 40 calories a cup and 5g fat - trace carbs.

This is awesome! I have a quick question though, we don't purchase half-and-half, we have heavy cream. How would you adjust this to make it with heavy cream instead?
I currently have heavy whipping cream I am mixing with water in a 50/50 ratio but the heavy whipping cream I have has 2 carbs per ounce. That means even 2 ounces of heavy whipping cream and 2 oz water is still 4 carbs and only gives 4 oz of ‘milk’. I was going to try half and half next. 💕
I do this all the time. Even before keto I would often do this for recipes because a) I didn’t buy milk because it goes bad too fast, and b) I prefer the extra fat in my cooking and baking because the taste and texture is better to me. The only think I would say is that I think there are fewer milk proteins in heavy cream, so if you water it down too much you will notice it when drinking. Also, heavy cream in blended iced drinks will essentially separate into butter, essentially causing your drink to split into water and fatty foam. I also personally don’t like the mouthfeel.

Lol but thank you for this information, I will definitely have to try it sometime and see if it helps me as an experiment. I used to drink more than a glass of the regular a1 milk a day which is probably too much for anyone ideally. I was addicted to milk, I heard that milk also has opioid compounds in it that makes it addictive, just like gluten in wheat has which also causes addiction to wheat.
I'm on the autism spectrum and I would be able to tell the difference because regular whole milk has more sugar than the 2gram of sugar milk you made because the taste of sugar is terrible to my mouth and a sensory problem for me
What’s the brand she is using why can’t she say it?
@@jlynn7148 it isn’t that I can’t say it, I just didn’t. The brand is “simple truth organic” I bought it from Kroger.
Nahhhhh... I gotta have my raw goats milk.
Let me enlighten youbwith a MUCH BETTER way and ZERO CARBS option
Buy havy cream zero carbs double with water, get a Richter smooth zero carbs milk 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Actually no.
Heavy cream isn’t truly zero carbs. Hard lesson learned but it’s on the FDA access website here…
www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfcfr/CFRSearch.cfm?fr=101.9&SearchTerm=nutrition%20label
Which states…
If a serving contains less than 1 gram, the statement "Contains less than 1 gram" or "less than 1 gram" may be used as an alternative, or if the serving contains less than 0.5 gram, the content may be expressed as ZERO.
Heavy cream is typically 1 Tbs per serving so likely heavy cream is “at least” 0.5 carb per 1 tablespoons MEANING
1 cup heavy cream “8 carbs”
plus 2 cups of water “zero carbs”
is actually 2.6 net carbs per cup.
@@victoriasketokitchen I figured it out on Cronometer using 16 oz. Horizon organic heavy whipping cream and 6 cups of water to make 8 servings and it said it would be 1.9gm carbs per 8 oz. glass. It might be different with different brands of heavy cream. Total and net carbs are the same since there is no fiber. BTW
That is for a 234gm glass.
