    This has been such a great addition to my keto toolbox. The heavy cream one is so easy I haven't tried the others but I will.

      That's great I am so glad this has helped you. Yes the one with the heavy cream is probably my favorite one.

    Wish I could give you more than 1 thumbs up!
    Excellent suggestions!
    If you are using the old style blender I have where the bottom and blades can be twisted off, just twist the bottom and blades onto a small mouth glass pint jar and then start the recipe .

    These are wonderful!
    I have a question on number three. Why not use allulose if its NOT being used for ice-cream? Cost?

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  11 месяцев назад

      You can use allulose even when you're not using this for ice cream. It really depends on what recipe you're using this in. Allulose stays soft so if your recipe needs to crisp up Allulose would not be the best choice. Also Allulose is usually more expensive.

    Will this work with stevia? ❤

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  Год назад

      If it is a powdered stevia that is equivalent to powdered sugar it should work. Liquid stevia most likely will not work. You need the bulk of the powdered sweetener to get the right texture.

    Is it salted butter or is it unsalted butter which one is it?

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  5 месяцев назад

      You can use salted or unsalted but I would suggest using unsalted. You can always add salt if needed to whatever recipe you use this for.

    I am thinking of making a keto version of 4 Ingredient Almond Joy Cookies. I can sub everything out very easily using low carb chocolate chips, unsweetened coconut flakes, and of course chopped almonds. Will these recipes for your sweetened condensed milk make the equivalent of 1 can of Eagle Brand? Or will I have some leftover? I have thought of using the thick part of canned coconut milk and add some sweetener but have not been brave enough to try it. LOL

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  3 года назад +4

      That sounds delicious ! These recipes will make about 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk. A 14oz can of Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk is about 1 3/4 cups so you would have to make 2 batches of the keto condensed milk and measure out the amount you need. You can always use any leftovers in your tea or coffee it makes a great creamer substitute. 🙂

      You can use either one but it is best to use unsalted. You can always add salt to the recipe you use this in if needed

    Will this work with non-fat instant milk most commonly found in powder form, or must I search far and wide to find whole fat milk powder?

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  3 года назад

      Yes this work great with full fat or non fat milk powder. It also works great with coconut milk powder (there's a link in the description where to order the coconut milk powder) for dairy free.

    Spoon test for doneness method. After dipping spoon into the milk, turn over spoon. Run finger lengthwise down middle of spoon. If milk DIVIDE does not run back FROM 2 sides into whole spoon covered, it is done.
    Should look like a river between to banks of land.

    Only heat safe bowl without infusing plastic into your condensed milk is GLASS. Also Strainer should not be plastic.
    (Using stainless steel bowl will take longer to cool.)

    Why do you all put butter in it? What is the butter for? Do Borden corporation put butter in their condensed milk?

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  5 месяцев назад

      The butter makes it creamier and easier to pour. It can be made with out the butter but most likely will be too thick and won't "slide" out

      I use condensed milk for many different recipes. One recipe is my keto snickers bars. Another is for my microwave fudge. It also tastes great in coffee or tea

    How much confectionary sugar

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  3 года назад

      The only one of these recipes that calls for powdered/confectionary sugar is the recipe mark "How to make sugar free keto condensed milk" on my website. The other condensed milk recipes I wouldn't advise using powdered/confectionary sugar it may effect the texture. However if you would like to try it you would use 3/4c +2TBS of powdered/confectionary sweetener for every 1 cup of granulated sweetener. I hope this helps

    Please be aware that heavy whipping cream is not carb free. It has 6 carbs per cup. So you are adding 15 carbs according to your recipe. I use Almond milk.
