Warm water holds less dissolved oxygen than cold water. Crank the airstone up and the oxygen levels will increase 💪🏻

Funny you just made this video. I actually just finished dosing 2 of my tanks with paracleanse. It seems to have solved the flashing issues I was noticing.

Great video! I wondered... my guppy is not gasping for air, but I have seen her flashing. Not constantly, while observing it seems she does it on the substrate then starts looking for anything that it seems she has stirred up. I thought she was using the movement to forage for newborn shrimp and flake food that has settled on the bottom of the tank. Have you ever noticed the movement for this reason? Like I mentioned its not constant, seems only when she's at the bottom. I have occasionally seen her flash on the plants but seems more often on the substrate.

Hi. That would depend on which shrimp you are keeping and how ‘hard’ or ‘soft’ your tank water is. What shrimp do you have? 🦐

I recently got back into fishkeeping and purchased a Fluval Flex as it has a hidden filter and I am wondering if I added an air stone in the back filter part would that work to add oxygen to the water as it would then be drawn through the pump and back into the aquarium? I would rather keep everything out of sight but I understand this may not be an ideal solution for adding the oxygen. Many thanks 😀
