    Another super video Richard. Endlers just gave me about 30-40 more fry this past weekend. started new tank to move some fish around, but they will all be happy with lots more room coming. Left Females with the Cherry Shrimp ( added male to this tank with 3 females ). they will stay here due to Planaria in tank. The male will be removed as I'm sure they are all pregnant at this time.

    Great advice. I had a female that had a deformed back so I separated her from the main tank. She was already pregnant so she had 3 successive broods but made sure her babies were put into a separate tank so the genetics were not passed on. They are in tank where their progeny are eaten at birth but other fish. None fish have shown the defects but I don't Want to take that chance.

    • @mr.octopus6972
      @mr.octopus6972 11 месяцев назад +3

      @@FishKeepingAnswers of course it comes to the understanding of your own tank but no food should be allowed to get struck somewhere where fish cannot get it and just rot at the bottom.
      That is what I meant.
      That is why I like to take my time while feeding instead of shoving a big chunk of food.
      I'm trying to keep a planted tank with minimum to no filtration and (hopefully) no water changes so I have to take extra care with overfeeding.

    Question: in my tank the babies tend to hang out at the bottom of the tank and don't come up for food, so how do I make sure they're eating but not over feed? I admit, I do over feed just for that reason. I can not afford another tank to put the fry in. I don't want to starve a living creature!

    • @meikahidenori

      Leave a bit of Mull at the bottom of the tank with some Catapa leaves. Baby fry love eating the bacteria & alge in the tank in the same way shrimp do. The mulm is good for any plants you have too

    Do you know why my small group of 4 guppies in my 5g are failing? I have 2 adult & 2 young males, their staying at the top of the tank but their not gasping. 1 of my guppies had died from stress I believe (I had him before I had the other newer guppies he was alone with 2 others before and one died so I had got the other 3 new ones he didn’t seem to pull through though, ever since they haven’t been acting the same. Their tales have clamped together and aren’t spread. I have fancy guppy so it looks crazy that their tales are so tucked. My water conditions are great, i have a heater, live plants, air pump bubbler. Do you think you know why their acting weird? Could it possibly be something parasitic within my tank?

We had 3 male guppies and added 6 females nearly 2 months ago. The guppies have produced over 50 fry since then. Everything is breeding except the Nerites. We decided to remove the males and cull some of the fry. We lost one female last week to what appeared to be a swim bladder issue, and yesterday I found a female floating under some plant leaves, barely moving. I test the water twice a week, but everything seemed fine. No nitrites or ammonia, low (
