Good morning family. Thank you very much for the valuable information and your time 👍🙏
Worked for me - 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara - Thanks!
good for you brother. you saved yourself from the big Skru! i wrote service back in the day and sadly the mechanics have a contest , who could be the biggest skrudriver' cha ching. i didnt last long there. no thanks! dealing with a no comm to ecu now myself, thought the timing chain broke but its intact upon inspection, 340 k miles i will replace it now , at least i was spared the crunched valve damages. 😀
Having this issue with my Volvo S60. Going to give this a try. Thank you.
Hei Dawn, any result? Im struggling on my XC90 2004 2.5T, there is strange codes from CEM, but related to TMC.
@@nurka489 unfortunately no. The immobilizer locked it up and I haven't been able to reset it. I ordered Stabilant 22 from Amazon. It's supposed to create stronger electrical connections. I will use it on the antenna ring connection as well as the ECM and TCM. If that doesn't work, my next step will probably be xemodex. I really hate spending that kind of money though. Especially when I know it's something with the car's computer, not a bad transmission or anything.
@@dawnrobbins5877 Thank you very much for your prompt reply! I lost the antenna light ring recently. Im not going through xemodex. It doesn’t worth the money and time. Did recently cleaned TMC and EMC with contact cleaner spray, its performing a little bit better. Can you send me a link of amanzon to check it pls?
@@dawnrobbins5877 a quick update. After a long consult with mechanics of the company where i do work, i decide to buy a new battery. The new one is 77AH, with 760 cold start, the old one was 70AH with 660 cold start. It seems, that TCM, shift lock errors on CEM did disappear. Its been 2 days now, i didnt drive too much, but to go work and back home, i have to go up and down to a small hill. Didnt felt any issue at least with gearbox. If i get something new, let you know. But, how old is your battery?
@@nurka489 I too bought a brand new battery, 760 CCA. Still can't start the car because of the immobilizer. I'm hoping to get back to the project soon, but for now I have it on the back burner. My goal is to have it in good shape by the end of the year. So, do you think your problem was solved by the new battery? I sure hope so!
***Maybe this information could be useful to someone. ***
my 2012 KIA was in an Official Kia service for 3 MONTHS. The total amount I end up paying was $2714! But the problem was fixed after they change the CONTROL ASSY-HEATHER which costs around $100. Yes, $100, instead of $2714.
My car was going in LIMP MODE. Seems it was a very very rare case. Something that they had never seen before. They change many expensive parts (like the wiring harness and PCM control) and the car was not working. I had to pay for all those changes without solving anything.
It has been 1 year since the repair and the car is working great! Hopefully continues this way!
my car has very low mileage (37.000). I believe his previous owner was never able to figure it out what was going wrong with the car.
Hello, my car is in limp mode and has trouble starting. It cranks, but it doesn't. I've previously changed my ecu and thoroughly examined the wire harness, but I'm just wondering whether my car might also be affected by the same reason as it’s damaged and the knob on my controll assey heater has come out and theirs a motherboard at the back of it. was your control assy heater broken by any chance? did it also crank and have no start?
@@Unicornkitty-ni7kh no, my car was able to start, the only problem that had was the limp mode and some lights on the car dashboard. In the mechanic, they changed the harness but didn't resolve the problem. It was solved once they changed the CONTROL ASSY-HEATHER.
@@elilucha by any chance, do you still remember what lights were on your dashboard? as my car has the glow plugs, down hill and slip light control on
@@elilucha could you still change gears perfectly or was it in lock?
Good information Brother thank you very much Brother
Or in my case, if you recently put in a new battery, make sure to clean the corrosion off the connections. I wasn't able to do it at the store but got a U1000 code on my Infiniti G25 a week later and saw another video that suggested to try cleaning battery connections to clear the issue.
was something else causing the u1000 code ? i currently have it along with p0882 and p0726 both no tcm signal codes but i can’t find anything to fix it
Its usually a simple fuse problem most shops will claim they have to take apart so much stuff to replace your relays modules harnesses or your transmission if your gullible enough to not check those fuses and read your diagrams 💯
😮mannnnn I’m bout to try this on my 300c 🙏🏾 hope it works
Any luck ?
Yeah I have a Ford Five hundred and I have the same problem I have spent over $1500. trying to get it TCM replaced wiring replace but I'm going to try your idea...
Thank you man
The current car is my last one with automatic gearbox
You did a great job
Great video. I have to try this ASAP. My only issue is that I couldn’t see where exactly on the TCM and ECU do I attach the ground wires to run to the Body? Anywhere, on the back of the modules? Or do I need to connect them to a wire in the modules?
At around 4:55 you show a wire connected from the ECM to the chassis frame and then another wire running from the chassis frame where you bolted the ECM ground wire to another wire. My suggestion, get a butt connector to connect those wires and crimp each end. Right now those wire connections are exposed and they could also come loose.
Thank you for your comment
He probably haven't finished buttoning it up yet. He left it so that we could see the bare wires.
Great stuff buddy. I just had this issues with my 2010 Nissan Rogue
I’m having the same problem with my 2017 Chevy Silverado won’t start no communication and it’s n limp mode p0700 I have bought new battery new wiring harness and have clean all ground still no communication won’t start because it’s showing it’s not in park
thank you
Aye who ever buy this car gonna be like wtf this man do 😂😂😂😂
Thank you brother🎉
Thanks for posting
Group 7 Computing can fix your TCM and your ECM. I’ve had it done on Honda Civic hybrid Electric guarantee it or your money back check them out.
The tcm isn’t connected right or the neutral safe switch is in the wrong position…
How do you mis-connect the TCM? It’s a plug in. But your thought about the neutral switch is worth looking into
It’s easy to misalign the pins. And sometimes it’s not pushed all the way in.
Wouldn't the problem be in the wiring harness not the module itself?
what he did is an alternative wiring route, more direct sort of say.
I get it, makes sense Thank You
My kia cerato 2011 won't shift from first gear, and EPS lights flashing, steering very hard so i hooked up scantool. U0100-loss communication between TCM and ECM
Did you solve the problem?
How did you solve the problem
@@kimonshisagat1635I’d try ecm the car is grounding out at least in my case with a Audi s5

What do you think is wrong with my 1998 Dodge Durango 5.2 it will not shift out of 1st
I have a 2013 caravan, getting P0600 code, same thing as yours I think. How do I locate those modules on this vehicle.
Your module tcm is on the side of your transmission near the front of your vehicle. Your ECM is under the battery which can be accessed near your front driver tire. Take loose the front wheel panel towards the front of your wheel. It's behind that cover.
I have Mazda 6
I connected the negative straight away to the TCM
And still no luck :(
Show what you did.
the input transmission speed sensor and output both are two main things that communicate with tcm! if your trans fluid is low the input will not work controls rpm tach gauge, output controls speedometer seperate through coms with tcm. your tcm is fried or at least the grounding inside is or fluid is low! you cannot change the input without dropping the transmission its inside the drivers side side cover of trans. if you look inside transfluid hole youll see wires to input sensor in the fluid! it can cuase not start. and throw flase codes and no com codes! gm sucks run by satanic cult gov. they will burn in hell for what theve done
Thanks for you valuable insight
@@conquryourfear 💯🤣
Is that will be if the oil fluid not the same
Hello brother i have same problème with my chevrolet captiva 2008, when i start it the gear box going directly in 4 position , i will trying your proposal tomorrow morning, tanks
May the Gods of Luck be on ur side tomorrow!!!
I have the same issue. I'm guessing it's the harness
What wire did u use or u just got a random for the ground ir was it from inside the tcm:ecm
Random
Which wires you connect directly to the ECM TCM??
I grounded each one together to the body of the car
It would have been very helpful for you to give the error codes that were displaying.
P1590
UO100
Mines showing a p1605 and when I look at the problem this is it
Makes total sense...
nissan micra ecu not powering has got ground b buh no +ve can i do the same
Have you fixed it yet?
@dennisfred3749 i bought a new set the vehicle is driving
My infiniti jx35 is pulling off in every gear including park with no reverse but shifts fine will this fix the issue
I’m geting the p1689 No communication between the ECM and Injection pump module on my 2000 Dodge 24V any help ?
Some variables to consider: Is that your original injection pump? Open up that injection pump cover, remove the throttle linkage, and check those few wires for their integrity. You know that on these trucks they are NOTORIOUS for bad grounds. There is that black wire that goes from the fuel pump relay trigger to ground. But on it way to ground it hits Joint connector #1 in the PDC and then heads for G102 ground location. (Left fender)
P1689 code is from the Fuel pump realy being dead just clear the code and you should be good... But fix the wiring right though. Recheck all battery cables. If you are still running factory battery cables, check they for corrosion. Hope this helps. If you haven’t already subscribe to my channel; got loads of videos dealing with these second gens. Happy New Year

I want to try this but you got me lost on step 2 can you explain better or draw a schematic on this ?

Hi I have a 2000 F350 no ecm communication it's diesel
Dashboard stays on gear 1 no matter what gear I put the lever on, no start no crank because it thinks it's in gear 1 on dash so I'm guessing this is my problem? Tcm not communicating with ecm?
dont need all that wire to battery just couple inches touch body of car same thing!
Anyone have dead TCM after replacing ECM. 08-12 GM Cadillac CTS type vehicle or similar?
My 2011 RVR did this, i fully recharge the battery and the message was gone
You are one of the lucky ones!!!
@@conquryourfear your probably right...I had the motor replaced under warranty just 8 months before the 10 year powertrain warranty ran it's course...have a 2011 RVR with 7000km on the engine now
Mine is giving me a U0140. Obd said it lost communication with BCM. I was observing some part with the obd and saw some odd movements like voltage drop to 3.6 volt for like a split second, engine coolant want negative degrees for a split second and 02 sensor bank 1 would go up to 8000 degrees for a split second too. All these would go back to normal and were all randomly doing it.
hi i have a 2005 navigator with the code u0101 no comunication with the tcm but i checked the harness and the cables seem to be fine. could this be a problem with mine as well? or what do you recomend i should check? thx
check the tcm connector pin sometimes they collect trans fluid or get corroded just reseat all your connections
Is this the P0600 code, having this issue myself with an Audi, it drives fine but cuts out and won't restart sometimes.
GET A WIRING DIAGRAM AND CHECK THE GROUNDS FOR THE ECM. iF YOU LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE THERE IS SNOW AND THEY SALT THE ROADS YOU COULD ALSO HAVE HIGH RESISTANCE CORROSION IN THE NEGATIVE BATT CABLE.... I HAVE SEEN THESE CODES DISAPPEAR JUST BY REPLACING THE NEGATIVE BATT CABLE BUT IT IS NOT 100% OF THE TIME
We are having u1000 code on our Nissan Sentra 2005 1.8 and an incorrect gear 1and 2 ratio code. Could this be why or something else?
Hard to tell. I know the u1000 is the computer can’t figure out something. Needs to be driven more to throw a code. As for the ratio code. That alone sounds like a transmission solenoid is shorting or grounding out.
@@conquryourfear thanks that’s our thought but there’s so many things it could be so we’ve been trying to do the elimination process. Won’t take off in the right gear it takes off in second, slow acceleration but drives fine and then it pops back into 1st gear once it hits about 30 mph and drives fine. No reverse at all it tries to move but acts like a parking brake is on
@@arielchantel5644 Bad transmission solenoid’s will do all of that
@@conquryourfear I appreciate it I’ll for sure make sure I bring that up to the mechanic 👍🏻 I’m not sure how to check one unfortunately
@@arielchantel5644 it depends. Some require you just remove the transmission pan and you have access to all of us Solenoids. Others you have to take the transmission out. I do not know what the deal is with yours though
