You put lots of work not only into your sculptures but the quality of your videos and also sprinkle in a little of your own goofy personality. These details don't go unnoticed, Jonas. Everyone loves your videos down to the smallest things.
It's so gorgeous Jonas!!! I need one of my own!! And on the pendants, my daughter and I own three of those, 2 foxes and a wolf, they're beautiful and we love them and get a ton of complements on them every time we wear them! Definitely worth buying one (or three) people!!
Such a brilliant idea! And that Danish oil makes it look like silk! ❤ An excellent concept of mixing animals features! I think you're on to something. Bless! 🇦🇺🤗🙏
I come from Wyoming, the ancestral hopping grounds of the Rocky Mountain Many-feathered Jackelope. I've seen lots of renditions of jackalopes in every sort of medium: Carvings, papier-mache, bronze castings, and the most interesting: amateur taxidermists, combining every kind of rabbit head with every kind of antler or horn, including bighorn sheep, elk, pronghorn, every variety of deer. I never saw any done with moose horns, thankfully. I can't count the number of roadside jackalope sculptures I've seen in small Wyoming towns. And after all those jackalope images in my memory, I'm confident that I like this one best! Bravo!
Your drawings are so professional. This jackalop does look demented. You are an amazing craftsman. I love the horns on the jackalop. He looks so real. A fun relaxing video.
Hey!! Cool! The Wyoming Jackalope! That's the one thing around here I've never seen "live", but we have several mounted ones around here. One day, maybe when I'm out hunting, I may see one. They are really very shy and elusive creatures. I've heard tell that that they mate for life, can have only 2-4 babies 1x a year and that the babies don't get their horns until they are around a year old. Which makes sense since they also grow very slowly, the jackalopes I mean, not the horns. They shed their horns like deer do, but they must have a secret place where they do that because I've not heard anyone say they found some shed ones in my 71 years. It is possible that the Prairie Dogs pick them up right away to protect the Jackalope lands.? I mean, find the horns - find the Jacks, right? Excellent work, there Mr. Jonas. ---- I made all that up by the way just now - the story part, I mean. And, gosh, I just realized you posted this on my birthday!
Actually, you should do one video where u speak Norwegian and add subtitles. I like listening to foreign languages. Not 100% sure about the others, but I think more folks think the same. :D
Hi Jonas, I'm two weeks late, but watching your STUNNING creation whilst having lunch. Keep up the FANTASTIC WORK! Lol..👏👏👏..loved telephone call intro & guitar sketch.... U Joker!...😂😂.lol
Jackalope, way cool . Had to sub. Not a carver .......yet . Awesome vid . Will be watching all your vids ..but first got get out my dermal . Wow . Looks just like the Jackalopes we have here in B.C Canada , lol . Thx for sharing a great talent you have .
Awesome work Jonas, I kinda knew that holding pc was goen to break free, try drilling a hole in each pc & use a dowel to join them, love the way it came out especially the antlers. Great job 😜👍 Mythological? I'd like to think If you can breath life into a pc of wood, by drawing it, carving it, & touching it. "IT IS REAL"!
There used to be a stuffed jackalope in a shop in Braemar in Scotland. It was moth eaten and quite beat up but it was over 100 years old. Yours is looking far far better.
My sincere complements! Love your attention to the detail. While looking at the sketch, I was wondering about the final size of the piece. And was not disappointed :) It is amazing to watch you working, please go on! Och du får gärna prata norska om du vill. ;) I am not an ethnic Swede, but your particular dialect (?) of Norwegian is quite easy to understand. :)) Carry on, sir!
Woodworking tip, collect sawdust in various colors so that you can mix it into the epoxy you use to attach parts like the antlers. This will help to hide the joints and look more professional.
Thoroughly enjoyed the humour, the skill, the imagination, although I did think you were going to saw your hand in two at one point Jonas. I did notice the cuts on your hands, you are not getting careless are you? What a lovely place you chose to do your hand sanding, later after the oiling of the Jackalope did you see that the different colour would come out at the nose, or was it a surprise, I didn`t notice the different grain, anyway Jonas see you on the next one as Mike Stinnett says, regards from John in England.
I'm only 50 seconds in and I'm busting up! What I find even funnier then your skits, how you just pass right by them without even laughing at yourself. hahaha Ahhhh... you're awesome. Just saying 😁 K back to the video and as far as I know, they're mythical.
Great job man, maybe tell the boss next time to ease up. As always your videos are endearing with peaceful music, touches of humor, and wonderful wooden sculptures.
English is a very difficult second language! Most of us with English as a first language still have trouble sometimes. You are doing great :D Also great guitar solo :P
I couldn't help wincing when you were sawing and the head came off in your hand. So glad you didn't have to dye the whole thing red to match any blood stains. ;) Finished product looks so good. Do you ever name your creations?

Good job man!
To be entirely fair, English is tricky for the English, as well. Great stuff, homeslice. You're kicking ass, as usual.
So nice!
Carver man!
Really enjoy the Jackalope
