Before you sell any of your sculptures, you should totally 3D scan them, maybe even sell the models for printing and game design.

Love how the natural lines in the wood, mimic those found in shells. The cracks in his face look like a battle scar. A warrior of the sea, indeed.

the cracks in the wood look incredible!! i gasped when i saw the finished sculpture, they make the otter look so fierce and really tell the story of a pirate!! while ive found your decision to keep the cracks in previous projects interesting and liked the look of it, it didnt quite hit me how much they can add to the project until now. every video you teach me more about art, so thank you for that!! the statue also came out amazing!!

I admire how you turn sketches in volumes, you're a natural. You could try making rough small scale version(s) of your sculptures before attacking that precious wood. It would help resolve the volumes and see ahead and prevent possible mistakes. Then you build on what you learn, make it better. Its a good idea to get more inventory before expos. Awesome work!

    This turned out so FANTASTIC!
If you ARE waiting to sell pieces until you have a show, just be aware that the Gallery will take a percentage of sale.
I know in New York City they take up to 80 % of the sale! Mostly due to how competitive the Art world is.
Start searching now and find a Gallery that sells similar work and attend a show to get a "feel" for the space and the people running it.
You also want to start making plinths/stands for the pieces. Some Galleries may have a few plinths, but no guarantee ! You want to use screws to unassembled for storage after, OR, have them nest inside each other. I had a friend make me 2 plinth with interchangeable tops (one rectangular, one square, one with a hole drilled in it. Very handy as you can switch around. Put some time into picking the color you paint them, I go for "basic black", but I sculptor I knew did a blue/gray that was very nice.
Also, make sure your website, show cards & business cards are ready ! These can be pricy ! (At least in the USA!) Perhaps you will want reproductions of your drawings ?! Either to hang up, or as greeting cards.
Decide if you want to have wine and or food, at the reception.
I've given you a lot to think about !
    Wishing you the best !

Your artwork is your creativity and it is beautiful. I don't know why people need to be negative but ignore them. What do you think wood glue and sawdust are used for? 😊

He turned out great! The design was already beautiful, and the sculpture looks stunning. Glad those new tools work out fine, that KATools disc is great don’t you think. I got the red one, but the purple course one seems to do better with these large carvings. Well my friend, you are on your way to a fantastic exhibition!

Would you consider filling in the cracks with clear apoxy? Or, is that not a good idea?

If you fill them before you start carving it should be possible. I like to keep then natural tho

Прекрасная идея и очень талантливое исполнение. На самом деле в огромном ютубе не так много скульпторов и как правило они работают с персонажами из игр и фильмов. Ваша работа художника и скульптора очень уникальна. Спасибо. Жду новых работ. 👏

Fascinating process and beautiful work ♥ I'm still a beginner with wood carving, so far I've only done sea creatures. But your last video inspired me to take another step and carve a little tiger bust. Keep up the great work friend

The thought struck my mind as well! Maybe for my next wood carving i could try to use one of those logs as the base
