That was a nice video. I hope I live two more years to celebrate 50 years of surfing. Started in 1974. So lucky to stll surf at 60 years old. Surfing is the best sport ever!!!
Thank you so much Robert!! Only 60? You easy got those two years. And what a milestone, my mum was born in 74’ so we will have two things to celebrate in 2024 😂🙌🏽
I like the way you explain things, it is no like you're saying anything new but i like your calm and humble tone. You've won a subscriber! Keep them coming! Thanks!
I need to work on these, i often find i’m already losing speed by the time i identify it’s time to cut back, and sometimes only get half way through the turn.
very good tuts, now i need to apply some of your tips, i will try to not overcalculate thing, like you said, i think a lot of thing in surf come by feeling them trying and see what work. i think the surfskate helped me a lot to feel the body weight transition.
Thanks so much brother! Yeah it’s really common to overthink think it all, just focusing on one or two things will make it so much easier 🙌🏽 and surfskates are awesome. I’m working with a few brands over the next few weeks will keep you guys in the loop!
Been trying to learn these for weeks in crappy 2ft choppy Florida surf... It's hard but I'm getting there and luckily we have some real waves coming Friday. Much easier to do cutbacks backside too
Awesome mate well done! It’s a lot easier on backside as you’re already facing the direction you’re turning, whereas you’re turning over your shoulder on your FS 🤙🏽 good luck bro
I Came on the early days of the channel when it was only POV and no face show even 😁 channel is getting better and better on every video keep it comming 👏👏
@@SurfingWithNoz I just went for a morning surf and worked on a few cutbacks and this tutorial definitely helped improve them especially the tip about staying low and dropping your arm🤙🤙🤙
My pleasure mate. Harder to explain over text, but like you’re reaching behind you. People just drop the arm and it sits next to their hip but it should go back behind you… opens your upper body
Is there a namr for those type of wave? Cause its my favortite type of wave, small, but its needed to pump a lot and than you can hit the section or do airs, but that waves are rare here in Portugal, but those waves have a name? for me to look for b«similar wave beaches, cheers! Good to see you ripping
Thanks so much bro for the support! I call them punchy or bowly types of waves, small but powerful. I love Portugal 🇵🇹 bro! Keen to come back and eat some pastel de natas 😂😋
LOVE your videos bro! I will be headed back to Oz soon. Do you have any tips on surfing closeouts? My home break is like this literally 90% of the time haha. Feel like every time I try to initiate the cutback I get to about half way (until I can’t see wave anymore) then I end up digging my heel side rail in and falling on my butt.
Yewwww thank you so much bro!! Tips for closeouts haha bloody hell that’s all I surf too 😂🙌🏽 um try not get the closeouts is my first tip hahaha but they can actually good to practice bottom turns (then punch out the back of wave) if there’s enough time. Ahh okay. If you can try get a friend or family member to film you and have a look. Often times digging the heel side rail is from too wide of stance but yeah if the section is too steep that could be it too 🤙🏽
