Out of curiosity, how do you know it is not a true 10bit?
@@Trusteft It says so in the Reviewer Guide that BenQ sends out. True 10 Bit monitors cost much, much more. This one, like all others in this price range, use 8 Bit + FRC. Basically the way it works, to display an in-between color, it will switch back and forth quickly between the two neighboring colors.
what a world we live in where there's more people giving you shit for pointing out an error than are willing to accept new information. There seem to be a lot of channels misrepresenting this monitor.

Can i run 144HZ from hdmi 2.0?
I have heard that hdmi 2.0 can support 1440p at 144hz.
To be honest you are better off with the old Gen 1440p ips screens, from bits to super poor contrast. If you are looking at this price range just get the predator or the Rog from like 2016-2017. If you still want to get the current gen ips just go for a cheap option as all of them are using the same LG panel and you can find the same panel even in AOC
@Ten O its just that the lower then tn panels contrast was a huge turn off for me. I was able to literally see them side by side at my local store and yes you can argue that some calibration is needed but it goes both ways.

Make sure you use displayport cable and not hdmi.

Is there a decent monitor you can recommend?
do you know the input lag numbers? I think I read or watched a video stating 8-9 ms but I was curious if that also applied to non native refresh rate like 60hz when I play on console. Non native refresh rate tend to increase the input lag a bit so I just wanted to make sure it was still under 10ms because I do play a lot on console as well.
Not really the answer you're looking for, but you really wouldn't be able to tell the difference either way. The difference between 1-5 Ms, or even 1-10ms is so hard to perceive that it might as well not be mentioned. You gotta realize that 1ms is one one thousand of a second... That's nearly imperceivable by most people.

@John Dillinger First of all, WTH are you talking about display port being better I don't know. Leaving that aside, the monitor can display 1440p 144Hz just fine. I know it because I have the monitor for some time now.

Are you able to pick 144hz? I can only pick 60 or 120hz @ 2560x1440 with my dp cable. I was able to pick 144hz on my old benq with the same cable.
Set Colours to 8-Bit and it will do 144 Hz with DP. I tried this with RX 470.

Compatible with G-Sync are you sure, Nvidea site this monitor isn't mention and everywhere on internet mention not a single time G-Sync ? Top frustration for Nvidea users looking for a good monitor. So many issues on these IPS monitors and when you find one then you face if compatible or not with G-Sync. Can't believe this shit in anno 2019/20...

@@CrypPower yep it should work fine. Gsync works with every freesync monitor. Don't fall prey to what's on their website.
BenQ EX2780Q or the LG 27GL850?
Both are solid monitors but I would pick the BenQ just cuz of hdri which is great and the built in speakers are fantastic.
