Heyyyyy now fantastic
This cat always went hard on the Soul Train line. One of the absolute best!
But NOT one of the originals.
@@charlottecarlos6296 Ok, we get it; most of the dancers interviewed aren't the originals; but they have played a big part on Soul Train just like the OGs did.
Yes, Sir. No doubt.
Yess, jheri curl juice flying everywhere!! 😂😂
ThanhLS88 he definitely had the best moves of his era. You couldn’t take your eyes off of him!
Them Jeri Curls were serious 😂
My mom had one too
He must've been splashing them poor people on the line 😂
I heard you had to keep it wet at all times or your hair would fall out....I saw ppl wearing a shower cap TO BED just to keep it all the way live. Lolzzzz
They was all serious during those times unfortunately i remember lol. I hope no one ever brings that trend back.
@@ChangedUpNowWhat yep I remember my mom keeping her activator around.it smelled good too
Who else is cheesin' looking at these videos? I remember seeing every one the dancers they've interviewed.
my molars are showing
That was the good old days Saturdays 😃😍
Me! I love the Soul Train!
That's where I learned most of my moves for the school dances.
@@wisdomseeker3362 Heck yea, thats where this white boy learned to get down.
Omg yes!! Every one of them! And he was one of my favorites!
They should do a one time Soul Train dance reunion, I would love to see all the dancers dance one more time, I sure they can still dance and they all look good.
This needs to be done ASAP !!!!!!!
Great suggestion!!!!!!!
Maybe and maybe not. A lot of dancers pay for it when the get older dealing with body and joint pain etc from all the years of dancing
Yes!!!
Charles still can dance his a$$ OFF. You can see videos of him dancing on Facebook.
You askin for heat strokes
Soul Train is the reason I still live for old school music and I always will!!!!
The good ole days
He had the baddest Jericurls out there when he moved so did his hair ❤️
thank you I did my own hair back in the days @Magick Woman
FRESH DO,MORE BOUNCE
Yes!!! I loved when he came on 💜
One of the best dancers ever on Soul Train
FACTS
Absolutely.
He was awesome!
I agree!
Him, Shabba Doo and Tyrone Proctor are my all-time favorite male dancers.
God bless the editors. Having to comb through a decade's worth of footage to find that one chair routine
😂😂😂😂
Iktr
FireMadeFlesh II
🤣
FireMadeFlesh II I wonder if this is where Janet Jackson (or her choreographers) got the idea for her chair routine in the 'Miss You Much' video..
Or maybe they already had the recordings and gave it to the editors. It makes sense for the dancers to ask for recordings after the show but who knows
That curl was popping!
I had a crush on Charles back in the day
The curl was poppin while he was lockin.
He was a pleasure to watch. The curl was on point. And one thing I noticed about all the interviews so far everyone still looks good!
I lived next to his family in Compton and his entire family had natural curly hair they honestly didn't get curls when alot of us was real talk i don't think anyone caught that when he said we were hating 😂
@@Jason36ism Oh wow really lol
I was thinking the same thing they all look so good!
So far, he is the best male dancer I’ve seen on Soul Train
I liked him & that one Aaron Hall lookin cat that came later on
Reginald...

I had the fantastic good luck and pleasure to work with Charles Washington in Culver City a few years ago, and Charles was such an awesome person and polite and told me stories of what is was like back in the day. I felt like I met a big movie star that day. Such a treasure to come across a Soul Train Legend. Thanks Charles,
Richard

I met him last year at Christmas Ball. Some of the Soul Train dancers was there. I had a great time. He is a nice man.
He was a real street dancer that brought that poplockin n funk to tha show his energy was craazy!!! Glad i met him at Poppers picnic in L.A. good dude!!! He represented!!!
Hey had the dance moves and the Jheri Curl. One of the best dancers on Soul Train. He brought so much energy.
Some of their dance moves reminds me of Rerun 😂😍
Rerun makes appearances at 1:50!
You see Rerun in the dance group he was talking about. Hes on the far right with the red cap.
Yes yes and yes! Charles was just phenomenal! I lived to see him every Saturday because his energy was amazing and the curl was sitting honey! Period❤️
Charles you were my all time favorite dancer on Soul Train. Great to see you do this interview.
I misses Soul Train and the dancers period my growing up time and wonderful memories period!! RIP Don Cornelius!🙏😢❤❤🎶⭐
Gangster Original Dancer on Soul Train.., Definitely 1 of My Fav....Salute The Groove..🕶💯✊🏽🙏🏽🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Charles Washington! I can talk to people in Compton right now who remember you! That speaks volumes! You guys brought FIRE to Soul Train! I’m going to say this over and over and over again...BET could do better than a frigging 9-minute video short! You could have your own documentary based on your time on Soul Train. Anybody who danced 10 YEARS has stories to tell and classic memories to share! I can hardly wait for the person or persons who create the Soul Train Dancer Series on a different network and not as an appendage to American Soul!
I remember watching the chair routine
Priceless 🥰
Soul train needs to find more dancers
I love these videos
The Jheri curl juice was flying.
Yeah, a lot of ruined outfits lol
Was there anybody that didn't have one back then?😂
I must say tho....as a people...we still made even the jeri curl juice look fly REGARDLESS...Everything we do is on point!!!!
@Magick Woman 😜😁
@Keith Kelson .... I wonder if he used Good Fred Oil?!
I was 4 watching soul train and he was my fav dancer
His Jerri Curl was memorable! It reminds me of the movie Hollywood Shuffle! "Curl..Curl..Get It Jerri Curl..Rock..Don't Stop..Get It..Get It..Jerri Curl"
You were INCREDIBLE Charles!!@ Just full of attitude !@
His hair had body body body!
I put so much world of curls in my Jheri curls to move like his...all it did was stain my pillows. Lol those were the days.
Go Charles - You Deserve The Honor.. For You Being You. Dance On 🔥 🔥.
I’m glad I found this!!! I hope it’s more, this is awesome thank you!!!
Charles still look good he AGED SO WELL GOD BLESS MY LOVE🥰❣️❣️🤎🤎🤎🦋🦋🌹🌹🌹✨✨✨✨✨💗💗🐱💋💋

I remember Charles Washington....he really good
He & his crew were so inspirational.
And he's still cute💖💖
Charles Washington was THE man......nobody moved like him. He had the sickest routines even through the early 90's late 80's. Much respect.
@ThatsMrTimex2You....Your very intuitive Sir!!! Mr. Washington had some of Soul Train's history's most "dopest" & "sickest routines"!!! The Nicholas Brothers mixed w/ Mr. Wave!!! West Coast/East Coast!!! Bounce PoP Lockin!!! Yasss Sir!!!👑
