Mrs. Jumbo is also missing and it's not good for me. Dumbo is much cuter with his mother in my opinion.

Yes obviously, this is what happens when you over correct (in my opinion should been left alone). This is what happened with Aunt Jemima too. Destroy art and history instead of acknowledging and preserving it with result in repeated mistakes and tainted history.

Pixar characters didn't appear because the focus was soley on Walt Disney animated Studio Characters, so ... they were excluded.

The fact that I didn’t even know that Br’er Rabbit existed until watching this video makes him criminally underrated

Brave and UP are Pixar movies. The Once Upon a Studio was only focusing on characters from the Walt Disney Animation Studios, so that's why they aren't included. Most of the Enchanted was in the modern world. Except for the first 10-20mins of the movie

I’d rather have them re-theme it with the cast of *What’s Happening* then what they’re doing to it now. Br’er Bear could easily be reskinned into Rerun.

There were many characters that should have been included from Disney's animation studio (not pixar). But I was happy with the animation nonetheless. It took me back to the days of the House of Mouse

How is “br’er” different from “bruh” or “brah” or “bro” which emanates from practically every American male mouth these days with the frequency their young female counterparts say the word “like”?

Maybe it has something to do with portraying black slaves as happy go-lucky people who are happy to be owned by their oppressors and despite the movie being set after the civil war, in reality, the abuse of black people did not end. Some of them had nowhere to go so they stayed on the planations where they had no choice but to keep working for their opressors who continued to abuse them. Slavery was not just about forced labor, it was about brainwashing black people into being submisive and making them believe that their lives are not their own. And if you're okay with watching a movie that turns one of the most horrific events in history into a comedy musical than there's something wrong with you.
