She is accused of killing her cop boyfriend John O'Keefe in January 2022, who was found dead outside a police officer friend's home hours after Read dropped him off for an afterparty in January 2022. Prosecutors contend that Read struck O'Keefe with her car, while her attorneys argue that she was framed by party attendees and members of the Boston Police Department after he was killed inside the home. Yeah, and every single little detail is seen as suspicious. Confident that you’re innocent? “Oh they’re acting way too calm, they must be a sociopath.” Acting scared because you’re nervous that investigators are questioning you? “Oh they seem way too fidgety, they HAVE to know something.” Every single detail is noted by them, and they all point to you becoming a person of interest.

I believe he was in the room. Also MEs don't just look at a body and immediately figure out what happened. They usually know some details of what happened (or what they were told happened). And sometimes they are wrong

And she sent the guys to end him knowing when he will be at home, because she drove him home, fabricating a story about him being abusive, or whatever... She was too controlling and abusive in relationship with him. 99% he broke up with her and she could not take it.

I live in Boston and work in Canton. In my opinion, Karen is being framed 100%.
The fact that the FBI had to get involved in this, and now all this new information (3,000 pages of documents) is now available that goes against most everything the local and state police have been reporting, is so wild to me. And frankly, it’s downright terrifying as a local citizen here.

The wounds on his arm are absolutely dog bites! I had a dog attack me when I was 2 1/2 years old and the picture looks identical to my wounds on my arm! In my opinion she is being setup!! You don’t re-home your dog for no reason. Theres too many inconsistencies in this case to find her guilty!

Also the judge is friends with a couple of the officers….make that make sense? This entire situation is a coverup. No pics taken of the car, car was loaded up and towed over 30 miles in a snow storm with no protective covering to preserve evidence. Car was towed to Canton police dept who were already recused from the case because homeowner's brother was a Canton cop. Officers involved in the case were alone with the car for up to 45 minutes in the carport with the camera turned off. Broken pieces of taillight were not found by the Canton PD the night of the incident, but days later by the same lead investigator that is a close friend of the homeowner. These finds were never photographed or documented.

There’s definitely a coverup. Everything the homeowner did after that night screams guilty.
They got rid of the dog, changed the floor, google searched, and more. The biggest thing that concerns me is how the heck in Ice and snow was she able to hit him hard enough to cause his death from backing up to leave??? It doesn't make sense. I do not believe she did it!
Smells like he has finally broken up with her, so she complained, maybe fabricated a story to the cop (her ex) and the rest is a history...
Deffo being framed
Ive been hooked on this case! What stands out the most to me is the video footage of her backing into johns suv in the driveway. That footage is from around 4 or 5 in the morning when she is going out to look for him. The prosecution claims she hit him earlier in the night when she dropped him off. In the video you can see her taillight is intact and working, hours after the time it is alleged she hit him. The photo used by the prosecution shows the entire tailight GONE supposedly caused by the impact of hitting john. That does not add up!

Wow!! I've had multiple sclerosis for 12 years and crohn's disease for 10 years. I have an infusion every 4 weeks. This is the only thing that keeps me being able of the bathroom constantly, and function daily. I still am able to work full-time as a nurse. I personally believe Karen was framed. If she ends up in prison, and unable to be on the meds that are keeping her at a functional level, I have the utmost empathy for her. Her health will decline rapidly. There was a glass, that someone drank from, in the snow. Blood was found ON TOP OF the snow. Karen's tail light wasn't found until after the snow melted. These men know something. Somebody needs to own up to what they did.😢😢
Just think if she couldn't afford this new attorney. These adults need to be ashamed of themselves. Karen and John's relationship wasn't perfect. Who's is? John's niece and nephew have now lost their second family. This is all so sad.

So funny thing about this case. I live kind of in that neighborhood. And there's a woman that stands on an overpass bridge that goes over the highway. Every single day. She's the only one that stands there and she's holding up a sign saying Justice for Karen Read. I've never seen anything like it, but it's just one woman standing with a sign and like props to her for standing for what you believe in it's just I don't think the highway commuters are gonna see it, but I appreciate her conviction to stay out there and like get the word out on what she believes.
We have standouts all over MA currently.

She has spoken about her story and said she comes from a family who are cops and believes karen is innocent. She also said 1 day a cop showed up and asked what she was doing and in the end he told her Brian Albert is the biggest piece of sh.t. I just can't remember what youtube channel she called in on.

Dude this whole case is such a clusterfuck. Based on the evidence and sketchiness, it really does sound like she’s being framed because it’s so easy to target the significant others first. I have a hard time believing that someone who had just run over their boyfriend and left him in the snow would then call 50 times telling him she hates him. You would expect that person if they called to say how much they loved them and were worried about them. Or Am I wrong? Did I miss something? I live in Massachusetts as well. I’m just outside of Boston on the North Shore but I grew up in Mansfield and me and my son have been following this case since the beginning. There is literally no doubt in my mind that this is gross corruption, and a massive cover-up, that includes attorneys and even judges! I am praying for justice for all!

Girl, that judge is completely in cahoots with the Alberts! Colin Albert refers to the judge, as “auntie Bev“! Think about that!?! Auntie Bev. I have never seen anything like it. I just cover the innocent in the blood of Jesus Christ, and I even pray for the ones who are trying to cover it up because they are broken human beings who are clearly in the grip of the enemy.

Can’t believe auntie Bev refuses to recuse herself! With proof from the defense of one of the families staying at her summer cottage, that should automatically be conflict of interest! I also don’t know why they are starting this case before the FBI investigation is over?! My sister-in-law works as a dental hygienist in the next town, in Massachusetts.
She was just here, in Maine, for a vacation, and knows I watch true crime. I have been watching the Chad dumbbell case, so I was not familiar with this one.
She said, that she has both friends and patients that are familiar with this group of people. And not one person that she has spoken to, thinks Karen is guilty. I had heard about this case and was convinced she was guilty. Now I think this is a big cover up to save some other people’s asses.
How fast could she really been going? His injuries were too severe to have been caused by being backed into. The security footage in the driveway shows she could have easily backed into the car behind her damaging the tail light. She's being framed.
Exactly what I said long ago when this case came out. Backing up in the dark in the snow he wouldn’t even have been knocked out if she hit him. She’s def innocent!

This case is so complicated. 🤦🏾♀️ My heart wants to believe that this woman was framed and there is a major cover up that has taken place. I hope they don't put an innocent woman in prison. I'm only 10 minutes in: Jen was not Karen's friend, she was John's friend. She was the one who invited him to the after-hours party. She was also the one that made the 911 call when they found the body. And she did not say there's a police officer down she did not say John O'Keefe is down, she said there is a man passed out in the snow.
I am very close to this case.. I'm one of the peaceful protesters on the courthouse steps .. Karen is 10000% factually innocent
I was at the Dedham courthouse the other day for jury duty. Had never heard of the case before that, needless to say I had no idea what I was walking in to 😅 Spending 8 hours in jury selection totally sucked but they filmed me for the news so now tons of coworkers, family, friends, etc. have been sarcastically asking for my autograph the past couple of days lol. The 15 minutes of fame made the long day worth it. Now that I've looked into the case however it wreaks of a cover up and I imagine the judge and prosecution are gonna do everything in their power to stack the decks against Karen :/ Hopefully justice prevails.

This one is confusing, defense attorney definitely doing his job. Usually the simplest explanation is the right one. An accident after a night of drinking. However, his injuries do not seem consistent with being hit by a car. In order to break a tail light while hitting a human flesh you'd really have to be going at a high rate of speed if at all? Like if he slipped in the snow and she backed up and hit his head to cause the head trauma, I don't see how that's enough to break a tail light and it doesn't explain the scratches on his arm? The snow plow not seeing a body is pretty significant too.... I need to hear more information about his actual injuries. Boston Police department is well known for years of protecting their own much like a gang would. Just sad because it sounds like they had a toxic relationship and it ended in death but that doesn't make those two things causally related.
I agree that they didn’t sound like they had the perfect relationship, but that doesn’t mean she’s responsible for his death. His injuries don’t seem (from what I’ve heard about them) to be consistent with her hitting him and driving off. Plus they had witness’s at the party saying they saw them/their vehicle outside…. So then why didn’t you go out to see if he went to the wrong door maybe. And why didn’t the plow driver see him when he went by that morning. There’s definitely a lot that isn’t adding up to me… esp if she had hit him on purpose (like the prosecution claims) why call him 50x and leave messages yelling at him. That sounds like a woman who was expecting her man to come home and he didn’t so she got increasingly upset (and given there were claims that she suspected him if cheating) it makes sense.

That taillight is made from one of the hardest plastics that exist. It would not break from bumping into a person which is soft, even at a high rate of speed. It also doesn't break in the manner they're trying to say it did. The plastic would break into the housing, not fall out. (Think about breaking a window) The cops broke it more in the hour they had the car and lied about having it, to get a piece to find later for their "evidence"
FBI investigating the investigators. FBI went as far as releasing their findings. THAT NEVER HAPPENS.

Him being a COP, he really shouldn't have let her drive. Neither one should've been driving if they'd been drinking. One of my brothers was killed by a DD, so I absolutely hate when people drink and drive.

Having MS myself, we have horrible memories. My short-term memory is pretty much defunct, however, my long-term memory is a steel trap. The fact that this was very traumatic for her, I find her remembering all this stuff completely plausible.
my brother is a cop.. he is also a clear sociopath.. one of the weirdest things i can experience is being around him and his cop buddies. they are all sociopaths and watching / listening to them all interact with one another is unsettling for me.. they are just so off. If all these cops are working together to frame here it honestly wouldnt surprise me one little bit

The fact that she was calling him 50 times that night kind of shows that she didn’t run him over because she was obviously trying to get a hold of him all night until she fell asleep!
I didn't know the fact that they had split and got back together...... that makes me believe even more that she didn't kill him. she'd walked away before. their love seemed toxic but it was their love. I feel she felt him deeply and when they drove past the killers home she could feel him. almost poetic if not for the fact that she's being held accountable for killing him.
I don’t think their love was toxic at all. It has mostly been depicted that way by the DA and the media.
Sean on the Gulf aka Leopardo8 is a former DEA agent who became interested in the case about a year ago. He interviewed a close family friend of the O’Keefe’s (grew up together type). She said John & Karen did have arguments but it was clear they adored each other and were making plans for the future.
