  • Night vision and thermal optics are no longer a novelty at milsim events but rather a necessity. Unfortunately with even average night vision devices costing thousands of dollars it can be cost prohibitive for casual milsim players to buy them. I recently attended a forty hour milsim event, Operation Underdog put on by Realsim. For this event I rented a thermal optic from nightvisionrentals.com. In this video I discuss my experience with their services and how it worked on the field.

I am SO glad you are this video man. Inhale been really curious about NOD rentals for events. I will have to go this route for sure at my next big event.

Thermal is dope. Hoping to get a thermal monocular and PVS-14 bridged setup at some point. I'll probably start with a PVS-14.

How does PVS 14 hold up to being shot in cqb ranges?? Been nervous to use mine cause I don’t want it to get screwed up

I have never subjected a PVS14 to airsoft but I suspect it CAN be damaged. I did bring up this specific possibility with Nightvisionrentals.com and the owner told me they use replaceable lenses on their NODs. The customer is NOT liable for damage due to BB strikes.
