      @mookeychase0907 4 года назад +4

      @@MARQ101HVC Bruh this was in the 70s before all the precautions and all the money which brought forth the need to protect players. Only QBs were protected back then hence the in the grasp rule. As far as full speed nobody said anything about running full speed then lowering your head. Players rarely run full speed when making a tackle except on special teams. You lower your head when making contact like Earl Campbell did Isiah Robertson go watch that. Watch some highlights from the 70s my hero Jack Lambert and the others using their helmets on contact when tackling. Up to the early 80s you'll see both running backs and defensive players lowering their heads. Jack Tatum paralyzed Darryl Stingley by lowering his head as he went across the middle and he hit him in his back paralyzing him for life. Now if the NFL outlawed "spearing" which was what it was called,basically you're using solely your helmet to tackle. If they outlawed that method then it must've been popular. So as far as you saying my Pop Warner high school coaches wanting me to be paralyzed,no it was how it was back then...

    That tackle on Bell sticks in my head so much, we used to call that kind of tackle the octopus tackle cause of the way you wrap around the player and put all your weight on their lower body. Literally just as toxic as hitting someone in the head cause 90 percent of the time you’re causing significant lower body injuries to the other player. I have no doubt in my mind that Burfict did this intentionally and he deserved everything he got from the league. Also deserved the physical karma from Juju. That man shouldn’t have been allowed to play in the league as long as he did

    • @Maxbps88

      Ohh, but as Stealers players and fans would say, "It was a completely and totally legit and legal hit!!" Don't be a hypocrite. It's one of the worst things you can be in life, Mikey. The Stealers deserved every ounce of what VB1 gave to them and 1,000x more.
