So in reality, the second flag should have been on Pitt pushing the FG attempt to over 60 yards. And let's also not forget how Pitt was awarded a TD reception when the receiver didn't even have his hands on the ball (between his legs). Clearly not a catch. The NFL generously informed Cincy the next week that that catch was not a catch. Lot's of iconic moments in that game. Refs screwed Cincy early and often. It is one thing to play hard and aggressive, it is an entirely different thing to try to injure other players. Everybody--including the NFL--forgets Pitt's Joey Porter's blatant foul (illegally on the field, illegally interacting with opposing players) after the AB play. Burfict's hit only gave Pitt a 50+ FG attempt (not as common as today), it was Pacman Jones's reaction to Porter that got Jones flagged but not Porter. So in reality, the second flag should have been on Pitt pushing the FG attempt to over 60 yards.
And let's also not forget how Pitt was awarded a TD reception when the receiver didn't even have his hands on the ball (between his legs). Clearly not a catch. The NFL generously informed Cincy the next week that that catch was not a catch.
Lot's of iconic moments in that game. Refs screwed Cincy early and often. Even with Burfict's mistakes, Cincy had that game won but the refs wouldn't allow it.

No one will ever know if his hit on Antonio Brown was the reason for AB’s issues later on, but it certainly sounds like a possibility.
It is one thing to play hard and aggressive, it is an entirely different thing to try to injure other players. A few of those hits maybe you could argue he was just playing hard, but the stomping on other players, the twisting of legs etc was not.
