- These starter sets are purpose designed to be played into other Combat patrol sets in 10th edition of Warhammer 40,000. I check out the Imperial Guard set comparing it to two other armies and also the difference in rules compared to those used in the Astra Militarum Index.

I learned the guard combat situation the hard way, next time I'm spreading out my infantry so they're not constantly locked in combat and moving them out so I can use my shooting phase more
Yeah guardsman in infantry dissappear like wet tissues in melee. Try using the Sentinel to absorb any melee attacks, it's higher toughness and save will make it last longer then guardsman
@@GuardsmanHanan the sentinel went turn 2-5 locked in melee after all my artillery and infantry died
It nearly survived and killed half his army on its own so I'm never underestimating my sentinel again
I really like the new guard combat patrol, but between the super low points value to money spent ratio and the guard's pitiful win rate currently and it is not a good time to start a guard army, at least not with official GW Miniatures.
But it is always a good time to proxy. 😂
Too right, you could proxy all the models in this set and try out a combat patrol game. I'd guess that guard might perform better in combat patrol games than they would in the larger games.
Not sure reinforcements work like this. It has to come in 9 inches from your battlefield edge
I will use this box and my dkok kill team to make a full Dkok army. Sure it wont be the strongest army but the only way for me to field a pure dkok army in a game.
Have you thought about using some 3rd party heads on the Cadian bodies? That could be a way to have a more unified DK look. Also, in case you dont know, Forgeworld has got a decent range of DK models albeit in resin and very very expensive...
@@GuardsmanHanan i thought about some conversions yes. Since i already have 20dkok soldiers i will buy another box of 10 to make the teams for the heavy weapons and such. I know forgeworld has some models for it but the price....
I also thought about buying a scion command squad and convert them to dkok units maybe i can fit my spare gasmask head on them. If not i have to buy some third party ones.
