really nice work , I have the army set as was going to make them all MPs, blue cloth , Green armour and red helmets ( uk MPs were red berets) but this has persuaded me to go back to the original Scheme.
I really loved the accessories you added to the FOBs. Those huge bases are begging for additional accessories and basically to be made into little dioramas for your army. Also be glad that was your first sentinel, the new kit is 10 fold nicer to build than the old one.
The spunge destroys the nice shading effects of the wash. Just paint the layers way brighter and let the shade take it down in brightness to the level you want
Hey man, I really love your videos. Have you ever done terrain building. I'd love to get some of that pink XPS foam they sell in America but the stuff they have here in Japan just isn't the same. Have a great day.
The base on the artillery battery is superb! I like your methods on big bases! I am just wondering, for the infantry models, why did you glue the 3D print trench bases onto the GW base? Why not just use the 3D print as their bases instead?
Eh, I had the included 25mm bases handy and just glued them on. I wish they were thinner, and I tried to slice them in my 3D app, but it interfered with the sculpts.
do you by chance have the link to those bases? I have a guard army in boxes waiting for the right time to get to work on them and these are perfect for my plans!!!
Really love the speed of this paint job. Not a massive fan of the thickness of the trench bases - is it possible to make them thinner before printing them do you think?
didn't like how thick they were either! I tried to slice them down in my 3D app, but most of them have deep detail, so they need the thickness, or each base would be multiple parts. Feel like I should have left the Command Squad on them, but just used the plain bases for the troops...
Great video as always. Love the wood stir sticks for planks. What do you use for airbrushing white? And what’s your airbrush thinning mix/ratio? Thanks!
The white is a splattery mess! :) I'm using vallejo white primer, and I'm still experimenting with a thinning ratio. It's not nearly as good as the black primer.
@@thehammerofwrath That has been my experience as well. I have better results with straight liquitex ink. If you do find a nice recipe, it might be nice to do a general airbrushing video?

Really like this patrol, especially the artillery guys and guns. Great job!
Using printed bits in the support weapons was a great idea and done tastefully 👌

A good idea!
LOVE THIS !
just found this, thanks for having me! o7
Glad you could join us!
Love the flavor of your Japanese life. Just finished my Astra Militarum Combat Patrol.
Such a great video! I still have to get started on my guard army and this is really giving a lot of inspiration!
these look really good
Thanks!
Why double Bases? Looks like a big mac bit!
Yeah, they're thicker than I wanted. Might redo them.

Yes I have! I build a full 4' x 6' terrain table using XPS foam and a hot wire cutter. Sold it off years ago, though...
Very cool, my man! Great job 👍🏻
Thanks a lot!
Nicely done!
God, these look so much better than mine. All I can really do is slap on Army Painter Speedpaints and hope for the best. 😅
Thanks, but slapchop and speed paints can also yield some great results! Don't be discouraged!
Awsome vid im loving oil washes these days.
Ps Hammers of Wrath are the best house
Very nice result. Bases are epic 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

Class as always 👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Tripp man love your videos I can’t tell I can become a patreon member
The Ca(na)dian troops were added in late 9th edition. However thanks for the video this is therapeutic painting video compared to other videos
Really like the video! Do you happen yo have a list of all the paints you used?
I used primarily Vallejo paints for this patrol. Khaki. Bone white. Burnt umber. Caymen green. were the most used.
Immense 🙌❤

Do you spray another coat of varnish after the oil wash or do you leave it as is? (I have no experience combing oil and acrylic)
I use a matte varnish to knock down the shininess of the gloss.
Where did you find those sandbags?
On cults 3D!
@@thehammerofwrath Do you happen to have the link for them?
I don't, but a keyword search should bring them up. There are several creators that have provided free files (some better than others)
What is the green spray you use on the artillery and other parts?
That's Vallejo Cayman green, but any olive drab green will do!
Why don't all infantrymen have eyes?
Oh, I never paint eyes. Don't have the fine motor skill or patience for any of that.
@@thehammerofwrath so, it's look so bad, may by paint mono color dots?
