- Very rusty WW1 German wire cutters Restoration. I found these old rusty wire cutters with a metal detector at the site of a World War I military camp. The wire cutters were broken and very rusty. I decided to restore rusty wire cutters. I removed the rust, made a new strap and spring. I hope you liked my restoration.

I wish I can find that rusty of a tool at the yard sales for my refurbishes but not much luck. You did a great job. Take care.
I believe he/she finds most of the items he/she restores buried in the ground, with a metal detector. Decades in the earth leave objects like this. :)
@@just.jose.youtubeyes i believe so. Places around europe are littered with amazing items like this. I follow afew metal detecting channels and they regularly find these sorts of items from Holland right the way through to Ukraine where this chap is from. So much hiatory just beneath the surface!
Was hoping for a wire cutting test at the end.
It would probably break before it would cut anything.
Amazing Restoration 👍🏻👍🏽👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Good job 👍
Awesome!! I would have liked to see it cut wires of different sizes, oh well
Beautiful restoration job you have done on that wire cutter. It looks much better now. Great work.
You did a great job, it took a lot of work. Great restoration job you did on that wire cutter. Now it looks much better.
What a perfect way to start a new week!!
how great you are when giving life back to such abandoned tool! I musst say I admire your grat job very much!
I appreciate your restorations and the fact you don't first try to make things look old beforehand. No mud baths to give an "extra layer" to remove. So many fakes or people that restore "ancient" things that are really not old, just made to look that way.
Great job!
You should’ve sharpened those chompers and polished the entire tool.
Good job mister beautifully restored
Супер, как новые🙋👍💪
q - sometimes you're using soda, sometimes salt for electorlysis; is this depending on the material you're working with, or is it just "the currently available substance"?
I have noticed that salt is more effective. But the salt solution is more toxic and dirty. So I use salt on very rusty items.
@@ReXtorer thanks for the explanation! :)
Awesome job as usual bro 👍👍
What does the electrolysis actually do?
Great job. I would’ve liked to of seen you drop that in a bucket of hot oil.
Finally, it doesn't cut. 😐
Hi ... what brand of cold bluing liquid do you use. Thanks 😊
Результат відмінний, гарно коли руки ростуть звідти звідки треба🎉
سعرها ٢ دولار فالشراء افضل من هذا التعب واقل تكلفة
I am amazed by this round "table" where most of these procedures are performed. It has survived everything, and I've seen (much) more than one movie on this channel. And it still doesn't require, ekhm, restoration ;) Besides, great job, as usual. I love to watch these clips before sleep. Great editing. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching my videos! I sometimes restore this round table)
What is the leather conditioner that you use?

How long did it take u to add all that rust?
This is a legit channel. Not the "I found it where I buried it 2 months ago" type of channel... :p
@snarkloaf he has a second channel that shows where he metal detects and digs stuff up

Not a restore. It wouldn't cut anything. If a tool isn't capable of doing it's job than there's no restoration. Its a wall hanger at most.
He can easily sharpen the blades.
Works from pressure, not sharpness. For thick wire it will do just fine. I have one with the blade in worse condition and it still functions.
These wire cutters work. I didn't show it in the video. But I restored wire cutters in worse condition and showed how they work ruclips.net/video/8-lnlk7URPk/видео.html
Якщо я не помиляюсь то таке відео вже було на каналі ????
Так, я вже робив схожі ножиці
It is not restored if it still has no functionality. It wasn't sharpened and it doesnt look like the blades even meet. Lame
I have to agree. Just cleaned them up and added a missing piece. Disappointing.
During the First World War, barbed wire was chewed with nippers, not cut
