Congratulations on a professional restoration. Europe is full of relics yet to be discovered. I guess your from somewhere in Europe. Hi from Australia.
'cyw' = Sächsische Gußstahlwerke Döhlen, A.G. You should have boiled the barrel in water, that would have converted the rust, and keep any original remaining bluing. Wirewheel bad.

Stop using chemicals and electrolisys to remove rust like this. BIOL the item in water and convert all that red oxide into BLACK oxide. stopped watching the instant you started to destroy the item
@@ReXtorerIt is called RUST BLUING, look it up. it is how the old times put bluing on guns. Black oxide is made by deliberately rusting a part, you can do this with a mixture of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide and ordinary table salt. You apply this lightly to a piece and watch it rust before your eyes. you then boil that piece in water and convert the red oxide to black oxide. You repeat this a number of times till the bluing is to your liking. It just does not work on modern stainless steel but it WOULD WORK on the item YOU DESTROYED.
This is a replacement barrel up to mg 34. It is chemically blued, some models are not blued at all. The bluing process is the creation of a black oxide coating. There are different types of bluing. You read something, but you probably didn't fully understand it. Electrolysis is the best method of rust removal. This method does not affect the properties of the metal.
That barrel was in good shape for being lost for so many years. GREAT WORK! 🔥🔥

Hello friend... Another beatiful and great restoration 👍 Congratulations and Greetings from Belgium 😉🇧🇪
What an amazing find!! Great job as always on the restoration!!
Amazing find!! I'm glad the case took most of the rust damage.
Thank you! Case protected the barrel.
Real rust is the best way to enjoy the vid.
I find most finds with a metal detector, so everything is real)
The things you find just blow my mind!!! Can’t wait to see what’s next!!
There are other interesting finds)
What an amazing find!
That’s an epic find! 👍😎👍

Great work. This is the best channel I like to watch because it brings calm and comfort and works with details. Good work ❤
Excellent restoration. Loved how original you kept it 👍🏻
Nice restoration! Code cyw (time 14:01) on barrel means, that barrel was manufactured in Saechsische Guss-stahlwerke Doehlen AG, Stahlwerke Freital / Sachsen.
Good work
Nice work as always, such a great restoration 👏👏
Thank you for the normal gloves ;)
GREAT JOB ON WW2 ARTIFACT FROM THE BATTLEFIELD RESTORATION. THIS IS FOR A MACHINE GUN MG34 REXTORER 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Sure am glad you knew it wasn't a bomb before beating on it with a hammer.
I knew that for sure)))
Nice one , you must have arms like Popeye after all that wire brushing 😂👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The main thing is not physical strength, but patience)
@@ReXtorer yes it must be , love your work , very therapeutic 👍🏻
Another great job! BTW, you do a good job on your editing.
Nice restoration, comrade! I also restore ww2 relics, i think i'm going to start a youtube channel too soon. What cold bluing solution do you use btw?
What's inside ? Well.... BOOOM !!!
✌👍💪
Can I ask you a question .... What do you do with the anode mud after the electrolysis process ?

Perfect
Looks like it just came off the battlefield with a few scrapes
Looking at it, cleaning this "box" took forever ...
What a cool find. Is the rifling inside the barrel still intact?
Everything is in good condition

💙💛
I knew it was a spare barrell mg34 carrying case, as ive just bought ond for my display lol
100 YEARS BURRIED IN DIRT! CAN IT BE RESTORED ?

Mg 42 or mg 38
