Haha, that dubified Cannon Fodder is excellent. The SNES port is surprisingly true to its Amiga original in sound.
on one hand, i think it wouldve been possible (and cool) to get the vocals on the SNES version.
on the other hand, I know this would be pretty challenging, ESPECIALLY back then.
it is still good for what it is tho!
@@GSTChannelVEVO I can only imagine adding the lyrics would've been quite space consuming, not to mention heavily compressed. Regarding voice sample/vocals on limited hardware, Faselei on NGPC had a very odd choice of having the entire intro video as one big voice clip, heavily compressed and run through its noise channel. It's just a weird choice, considering the limited storage space.
@@GSTChannelVEVO Could've probably done it like how Tales of Phantasia did it, but they would've had to have ponied up for a pretty big cartridge.

Incredible work as ever! I can't stop listening to your mix of the two Uncharted Waters tracks, VGM and live instrumentation. If you ever released an extended track of that one, I'd love to hear it.

Thank you for adding "Uncharted Waters", all time favourite game and OST for me. Since 1994 I was pushing Yoko Kanno forward in CIS countries. What was drops in the sea became a snow avalance over decades. Pretty ambivalent and hard road, my love and hate for Yoko Kanno... Anyway, I would not call those compositions dub, not sure about that, but anyway was great to hear those brilliants here. Keep up your wonderful work and videos.

One of my favorite mixes yet! Was expecting to hear Hospital from Earthbound. These cut deep.
I loved how Super Adventure Island was added in the mix near the end.
I am amazed that Earthbound's Hospital tune didn't make it in there :) too obvious maybe, though you did include chip tanak nonetheless. Interesting collection!

Watched this channel years ago while I’d study in college, so happy to see you still constantly upload! AND still post bangers, I always wondered if you touched these tracks up/uncompressed them because of how good they sound. After hearing the Plok ost I can definitely say you did!

Great work as always, I was surprised not to see Super Bombliss crop up but really glad to see Plok although I never did make it that far in to the game to hear that music.

Super Adventure Island is a solid soundtrack.

couple more comments:
- southern twilight was a neat surprise to hear - one of my earlier gateway tracks into retro vgm
- paul wilkinson seemed to be able to do a lot when he has the time and resources beyond whatever he was alloted with bebe's kids [impressive but loops are way too short imo]

Sensible Software struggled on that cannon fodder release didn't they. They also got sued by the Royal British Legion for using the image of a Poppy. ridiculous.
