The more I see of Mohini the more she seems incredibly humble. She contributes more than she acknowledges and speaks highly of her peers. She truly lets the music do the talking.

After seeing this video a couple of months ago. I checked out their older tracks on Bandcamp, and did get this single on Bandcamp as well. Been swapping around my playlist for more instrumentals like this or other genres. And definitely Mohini is amazing on bass.
I can't really express how unexpected this was. I love Mohini, but most of what I hear from her is "shred-God" stuff, and this is MUSIC. Really good music. As much as I love Mohini, I was most impressed by how she and the saxophonist (Mark?) both served the music (underplayed their abilities) until their individual solo parts, and even then held back for beauty-over-impressiveness. Mark's solo brought tears to my eyes. I was truly not expecting this. 🙏
@@defsantiago -- I love me some Tal, but IMO Mohini is on a whole other level, right up there with Wooten, Miller, and from her own generation, U-Toob phenomenon Charles Berthoud
Brilliant comp, performance, engineering,-the whole production. So refreshing when compared to others who have no fire in their souls to display the great dexterity of the human hand with the creative heart that gives honor to the Master Artist: the Creator of Heaven & Earth.
It reminds me at times of Lost Tribe (which also featured a saxophonist, namely Dave Binney, albeit also with two guitarist). Jazzy, but muscular, with lots of catchy riffs and solos. Great stuff.
I saw Mohini Dey on the thumbnail and had to click -- awesome recording and great facilitation from Sweetwater Studios 😃Hartsuch, Dey and Banks are brilliant on their own -- together they're a veritable force of nature ...priceless to see them each lose themselves in the music 🌈🌈🌈🌟🌟🌟

This is killing , mark reminds me of Michael Brecker , Mohini is a beast on her own and the drummer is soild as a rock .
