Take them off and clean/inspect. Also, you can look into the cylinder while they're off and take a look at the pistons and rings. Turn the engine over by turning the clutch and you'll be able to get a pretty good look at the piston from top to bottom. See you on the trails!
All he said for 15 min was carefully clean! That's it save some time you will not get any new info other than um....ummmmm.. um is every um other um word
Guillotine valve can be roved from bellow actuator by rotating CCW. Wire brush with brake cleaner works well on g-valve.
It's the bellows that need to be cleaned. Those get gummed up and that's why they don't move smoothly
Thank you for this.
You're welcome!
my Rave has a small oil leak, i have not taken it apart yet but im wondering if it would have something to do with the o-ring.

Plastic covers do not need to be removed to extract allen screws.
Whats the verdict on the O ring?
I never found out the exact purpose of it but I do know it's supposed to be there. I'm guessing it's creating some kind of seal.
It keeps oil out of the bellows. What you called “the working part” is the valve.
should I clean these yearly?
To get the best performance from your sled that's probably a good idea.
redlense4 thanks
