    1. What are the benefits of doing this?
    The RAVE valves build up deposits from the exhaust and will hinder the performance of your sled if left uncleaned for too long.
    2. When should you do it?
    It depends on the year of your sled and how much you ride. If yours is from the same era I would clean them seasonally or if you feel a performance loss.
    3. What problems could it solve?
    It will restore power and top end performance that may have been lost by having dirty RAVE valves.

    From what I've read, R.A.V.E valves close off the top part of the exhaust port and changes port timing. This gives the engine better low speed power without sacrificing high speed power.

    They add to the performance of the sled and cleaning them just ensures that they operate correctly. It's maintenance. I'm over simplifying it but thanks for watching.

    Search for parts online. Check the price if you have a local dealer near by, then check online for snowmobile parts. You can find some of the best deals online.

    If you don't have a manual I'd suggest doing one at a time. Its easy to forget which little hole goes up or down and such. I gotta do this to mine. My dad don't have internet up at his place so I cant watch this while working. :(

    What are the benefits from doing this? When should you do it?
    What problems could it solve?

      I am very intrested I want to start youtube and actually upload videos but I'm not sure what to use to record or edit the videos, my dad is a mechanic and has taught me a lot and I want to share my videos from alaska, from rebuilding four wheelers to snow machines, to hunting videos and fishing videos but I would like to know what gear is good to use for recording and what sites on the computer is good for editing, if you could help me out that would be greatly appreciated

    • @Paisteboy
      @Paisteboy  6 лет назад

      It really will depend on home much money you have to spend. If you don't need an action cam find an inexpensive Sony HD camcorder like the HDR-cx 405 and Vegas editing software. It doesn't have to be the most updated version of vegas. Sony used to make Vegas but it got bought out by Magix. The Older versions will be cheaper.

    my sled won't start, we have gas compression and spark. Could this be the problem?

    • @Paisteboy
      @Paisteboy  7 лет назад

      Possibly. Is the sled definitely getting fuel? If not sure try putting a very small amount of pre-mix fuel in each spark plug hole.

    • @Paisteboy
      @Paisteboy  7 лет назад

      The only thing I can think of is bad fuel or maybe it's flooded. If you smell a lot of gas it could be flooded.
