The oil on the valves is normal and good. The carbon deposits are what you are looking for and want to clean. You should lubricate the valves with fresh oil when reinstalling for future reference!

Not to tough of a job, but necessary. A bit different from Polaris, but the same blade style. Nice how-to video Tom.

Thanks! Ski-Doo definitely made some strange engineering choices. The TRA clutch is another one, there’s 3-4 different assemblies in it. Makes no sense.
I’ll take a Polaris P85 any day over the TRA.
