Dude it looks so realistic! Loving it! Haven't really watched your channel before since I didnt own an airbrush but getting myself one on monday and looking all your amazing tips and tricks
The great thing about painting tutorials is that even 2 years later they help someone out. This one is about to really help me out painting my Gaslands crew. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this video together back in 2017 :)
Love your videos brah. High energy with entertainment. No other painting tutorials on RUclips or twitch are like it. Most of them are boring and you can barely hear or understand them when they talk. Used a few of your techniques and Chinese secrets to improve my very armature painting.
Man I am loving the effect that comes from peeling up chunks of half-dried wash. I've had that happen on accident before, but never on purpose. It does an amazing job of bringing out the steel underneath
Having watched all of these videos, I've learned one thing: with Next Level Painting, everything is - in fact! - secretly easy if you learn from the master himself. Thanks!
bro everytime I need to know how to do X i search and you have a legit video that is to the point. Just applied this technique to a few scorpion mk11 masks and its sick. ty ty ty ❤️
Will just say, awesome work you do for the community. i bought a airbrush becouse of you. Keep rocking on and have a faaaantastic 2017. Keep the great work coming. All the best to you from Norway
Awesome video man, great inspiration. You had me watching the video and glancing over at my unpainted Stompa like "Damn... It's okay boy... Your time has come!"
Very cool tips! Also, no worries, I've had notifications on for this channel pretty much since the day I subscribed; always look forward to your videos!
Yo! Dowg, the litteral best of all videos, thanks for this kenny, never thought of washing then sponging, im gonna give it a whirl, gonna get a tub of ryza rust too. keep those videos coming.
Secret Weapon paints are crazy expensive in the UK. I got a little caught up on thinking I need the exact same paints as you, but in reality I don't think it really matters. Vallejo have some rusts in their Panzer line, so I bought them. I've also got plenty of oranges on order, so I think I've got my rust covered. When they all arrive, I'm going to try this. Cheers Kenny!
Also, do you think it might be a good idea to use Necron Compound rather than Stormhost Silver for the drybrush? Im no experienced painter (painting since october 2015), but ive been using that for highlighting almost all metals, including gold
you may not be a rust scientist, but you do play one on TV. love this video, just watched it again to refresh some great tips. when do we get to see Kenny in the beat lab bat reps?
Kenny, can I use inks instead of the secret weapon colors? I already have some inks and want to weather some terrain like you did. or are the secret weapon colors so special? they are hard to get here
Hi Kenny I'm new to the miniature painting and I'm doing 1/24 scale. I was wondering if it's possible to use different clear coats such as a flat, gloss and satin on different areas of the miniature at the same time? If so how would you go about doing this. If you ever do a video on how to do this. if it's possible I would love to see it. There's no videos online about this topic. Thank you a newbie fan Craig Riche
Before the internet and awesome stuff like this it took painters and gamers like myself years to accumulate knowledge like this .Power to us peoples eh ?
i might do this to a lot of my ork vehicles to get a junkier feel... then stencil and free hand some checks and dags and stiple them metallic to break up the designs.... hmm...
There are some neat tricks in this video. If only you could talk normal instead of trying to comment on a WWF wrestling match. Grow up mate, it’s modelling. 🤔
Honestly GW should just hire you. You make things awesome and teach everyone that they can too with some effort! Thank you!
"aggressively attack these nuts". Next level badassery right there Kenny!!

Having watched all of these videos, I've learned one thing: with Next Level Painting, everything is - in fact! - secretly easy if you learn from the master himself. Thanks!
Not a rust scientist lol. I was wondering wtf a couple times but seeing it dry, wow! And seeing how wash airbrushes has changed my life! Love ya dawg

Thanks for more excellent tips. Always learning, and always laughing with your comments. (I'm not a rust scientist...)
Awesome vid Kenny. Can i ask what the mix is of the GW washes?
Also, do you think it might be a good idea to use Necron Compound rather than Stormhost Silver for the drybrush? Im no experienced painter (painting since october 2015), but ive been using that for highlighting almost all metals, including gold
Good vid Kenny. Love the tips!

Thanks for the tips. Any preference on Vallejo Smoke or the various powders that Secret Weapon makes?
I like them all but don't use them often
Great for Necromunda or Ork terrain / post apocalyptic etc

Craig Riche

Next Level Painting Kenny thank you so much and your videos are awesome and helpful.
Stormhost silver is my favorite highlight for weapons in 40k.
Before the internet and awesome stuff like this it took painters and gamers like myself years to accumulate knowledge like this .Power to us peoples eh ?
Amazing!
You beast! some awesome tricks there! :)
Oh man I'm so aggressive after watching this! Hell yeah!
You fucking ARE a rust scientist Kenny..... stop denying it.
So what brand of spray primer do you prefer on metal minis?
And I mean non plastic models
i use cheap primer from home depot or vallejo through my ab
what kind of paint brushes do you use when your not air brushing
Loew Cornell Golden Taklon #18/0 Script Liner
Next Level Painting and like, a brush you pulled out of the junk pile. I've seen you dry brush 🤣
just watchin this vid waitin for the ryza rust to come out... there it is
IMO the ryza is too bright but Very good info man. See ya on the live stream!
did you see the last frame? @13:22
Make sure to thin it with water.
I like to do a violet pigment then do the black right after to hslp it further transition into soot.
Have you ever used any of her Vallejo pigments? What are your thoughts on those if you have?
They are good
What kit are those pieces from?
no idea lol
Hah, oh well. Thanks for the reply, man.
Ok Imagine how your Rhinos will look like made like that? It will be fuckin amazing, it will be like your Grey Knights are comming out from hell.
You are the reason GW sold a pot of ryza rust..
Real talk lol
heretic192 Personally, I collect Death Guard so I actually buy it a lot. That and Typhus Corrosion
i use ryza rust as well
You ALWAYS gotta focus on the nuts.
I’ve been aggressively banging out these gangsta rusted nuts for 47 years.
"That is a fundamental lie." You, sir need to get into politics! Love you man!
How can I say this? DAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNN!
“Ancient Chinese bottle cap lid”
Has anyone tried Troll Slayer Orange instead of Ryza Rust? According to an GW employee, it is the same colour.
BTW: I miss Typhus Corrosion.
what?
Do you want to elaborate? :-)
"Always focus on the nuts."
IMHO needs some green oxidisation just too offset all the warm tones pull the whole thing together but that's just me
i might do this to a lot of my ork vehicles to get a junkier feel... then stencil and free hand some checks and dags and stiple them metallic to break up the designs.... hmm...
"Im not a rust scientist"
you missed a screw on the fan
Kenny, have you gotten younger and lost weight recently? If so, well done man! You seem a bit more chonky in this video, than you do now.
Hrmmmm aggressive
Lies! You are a rust scientist!
