- Labour has unveiled legislation to “get Britain building” with reforms the new Government says will help it achieve its housebuilding and infrastructure project goals.
The Planning and Infrastructure Bill, one of 40 pieces of proposed legislation unveiled in the King’s Speech on Wednesday, sets out reform to the planning system.
The King said in his speech: “My ministers will get Britain building, including through planning reform, as they seek to accelerate the delivery of high-quality infrastructure and housing.”
The Sun’s Harry Cole joins Jeremy Kyle to analyse the speech.

The NHS: people dying in A&E, people dying on waiting lists, operations and treatments with years of waiting, people in hospital sat in their own waste with no nursing staff to help them...care and nursing homes overloaded, understaffed and closing. And if you ask how much time and funding is given to treatment for migrants, legal and otherwise and the bill for translators to explain their conditions to Doctors and the complicated treatments they need to help them, you will be cancelled as a racist, can’t we have a conversation about funding this without it becoming a slanging match!
I disagree, England is full, we have lack of green spaces, green belt should not be built on, look at the flooding everywhere due to more and more houses being built. There is no infrastructure to support all the houses. I am sure labour will house migrants in the new builds. Disgraceful

Try a different viewpoint, if you build or cover with solar panels on greenbelt then it's lost for food production, ...... He who controls food controls the people....
Will the Govt please explain why we need so many houses? Most pundits explain that Britain's are not having babies - birth rate has fallen below 2 (atleast 2.1 needed for a sustained population). And yet, the Census's of 2001, 2011 & 2021 show that the UK population is growing quite rapidly. Are we about to build over the green belt to house veterans or are we about to spend more tax payer money housing the rest of the world? Isn't building endless square boxes contrary to Net Zero - new homes need more electricity, water, sewage, roads, schools, GPs, dentists, etc.

And Rayner has stated that Labour are to make it a legal responsibility for every county in the UK (29) to take a fair share of the 1.6 million immigrants ( and rising every day ) that means approximately 55,179 per county ( and rising every day ) that councils will legally have to take and supply housing, school's, Dr's, benefits etc......the NetZero is how much legal tax paying citizens will land up having in their bank and savings accounts... your money is needed to fund all of this... those coming have NO money to contribute apparently...!!!!... Happy day's..!!!!

It is pretty clear that you never venture out into the real world where huge amounts of brown field sites lie vacant and messy .On top of that are the sites of scrubland which in anybodys terms cannot be described as green field sites .Then there are the huge amounts of land builders and developers are sitting on .There is so much available land to build on without touching green field sites .
