I was persuaded to take an Avc . I received £267 per annum and £53.4o was deducted in tax. My NHS pension increased after 21 years by £3.01 pm excluding me from receiving any winter fuel payments. WHY did I bother?

Some pensioners will die of cold and hunger. To say pensionets spend on drink and cigarettes is outrageous..PS yhey have every right to a drink and smoke but to.infer that is because they have so much extra money to spend down the pub is pure lies.
In my area there are pensioners whose only indulgent pleasure is a cigarette and a pint in the local pub. By removing the allowance they could find themselves even more isolated. It was a cruel move to take away their allowance.
And so what of they do? Such simple pleasures are only as expensive as they are because of politicians 'difficult decisions' to rake in the tax. As for the child benefit thing i would scrap all child benefit; if you can't afford a child or another one don't have one.
I'm 79 don't drink, don't smoke or have holidays. We just eat a healthy diet that I cook from scratch every day. I don't waste anything, everything is saved, frozen and used again. I make all my own curtains, cushion covers, clothes etc and even knit my own dishcloths. I can't do any more to improve matters and have to face whatever this miserable, lying man throws at us and make the best of life, I will not let this government get me down 😡

Cutting the Winter Fuel Allowance from our dear Senior Citizens was the most unkind act towards our elders in Great Britain. Whilst billions and billions of pounds are being spent on young Muslim Asylum seekers who arrive in our shores - zero history zero passports and all of the other immigrants who have come legally or otherwise. Where is the compassion for our elderly folk, it’s not as if it’s three thousand pounds it’s just three hundred pounds, but a Godsend to many many. It has been a slap in the face to our dear Senior Citizens who have been through so much. Sadly, Santa won’t be coming down the chimney this Christmas for them.

Seems to me all those people who have worked hard, paid into the system and saved what they can for old age, are now being penalized by Starmer. This man will have a revolution on his hands if he’s not careful.
Starmer and Labour should be ashamed of themselves, a case of "I'm alright, Jack". A public servant with a final salary pension can retire well before 65, those working in the private sector don't have final salary pensions and a large number depend on their state pension which they have to wait until they're 67 to get. If the pensioners of today knew they were going to be treated so despicably, I'm sure they would have protested most strongly against paying national insurance (forced taxation).

What about the pensioers living outside the UK why are they still getting the winter fuel payment
Those who call themselves ex pats will say they paid in when they were working but if you don't live in this country you shouldn't get it
Watching Stasi Starmer being bundled into a police car, along with Lound Mouth Lammy, for his own safety recently, didn't surprise me. Neither did the missiles thrown by the crowd bouncing off the back of the police car as it drove away at speed. The people are angry at the cruelty of this labour government. Picking on old people is despicable and it will be the beginning of the end for Starmer. I can't see this government and it's full on lunacy lasting.
Hope this happens more. We need something to cheer us
