Hello sir thank you very much for your video regarding the exhaust pipe that BMW 740! . I have a BMW 2019 740i I’ve bought it seen August but 2 weeks ago I found out that one of my exhaust pipe no smoke was coming out of it , I was worried about that, I call the dealer where I’ve bought my car and I describe what I’ve noticed about 2 weeks now . The told me that my car was not supposed to do that unless I’m on the highway and the actuator will open . I was worried and I said I just don’t believe it . I went on RUclips I saw your video I went back to my car and looked at through the exhaust pipe then I saw the actuator . Now I have no worries anymore. Thank very much for your video. It’s really helpful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Man... This was great. Its the first video showing "WHERE" the vacuum hoses are located in the trunk and how to get to them! PROPS for that! Will this work to stop the Exhaust rattling? In my diag I hear this rattling so I used a small rod to push in the pipe on the Actuator with the car running and it stopped. This tells me I most likely have a vacuum leak. So again, might this b a good work-around for that problem? THANKS
Your car definitely has the correct valve for this to work. Not to sure where it’s located on your model. Do a little research & if no luck let me know & I’ll see what I can find.
OK so... I tested this and immediately realised this just permanently closes the valve... Supplying constant vacuum to the valve. In order to work just remove the side vacuum line to the controller and leave the bottom one.
@@rekairinger7700 Unplug the left one that runs directly to the valve there's no need to cap the line to the valve because the whole point is that atmospheric pressure is needed in the line to hold it open. The Bottom vacuum line comes directly from the source of the vacuum in the engine bay. Quick test is when you plug this one you can here the atmospheric pressure entering back in. So just leave this one connected.
Most BMWs have this controller but you should read my comment. I tried this and instead of bridging the two vacuum line. All you you need to do remove the left Vaccum line on the controller that is directly connected to the valve. So the atmospheric pressure overcomes the dome pressure in the actuator that controllers the valve. No engine lights super. Simple to try! This video was just a waste of time.

Firstly thank you for this helpful video and I’ve just tried it on my 2010 750Li. The drive is much better now, however my exhaust sound hasn’t changed much and don’t have any of that nice bang sound. Any suggestions?
This mod permanently closes the exhaust valve. The controller allows an Vaccum leak at certain RPM to operate the valved system. In order to work leave the Source Vaccum line on the bottom and remove the Left Vaccum like line that runs straight to the Vavle the atmospheric pressure holds it open. No engine light. Simply

Hey I have a 2011 750 f02 quick question did you notice a difference with driving experience related to back pressure? Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought those Vaccum lines work alongside the turbo wastegate? Any lag or loss of torque due to back pressure?
Well all this mod is doing is permanently closing the valve. I tried it, Easy way to verify is look down the exhaust tip. This runs a direct vacuum source straight to the valve. (Not ideal). Just remove the left Vaccum line to the controller and it actually works!
