As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement ruclips.net/user/postUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!
I've been a woodworker for 30 years and have made many nice pieces, but none with the precision that you demonstrate in your videos. You are teaching me (and many) the proper techniques for some of the basic woodworking tasks. Very well done and all the best with future projects.
Greetings from Brooklyn, New York. Your video is a testament to fine woodworking. You have an array of tools, clamps, and squares that are top notch. I’ve seen many woodworking and diy videos but you take a lot of pride in your craftsmanship. Thumbs way up. Stay safe and be well.
I'm wanting to become a very good woodworker like you. You inspired me really big! Your precision, passion and dedication even in the tiniest details are really insane. :) Thanks for the videos you uploaded. I'm gonna watch it all. :)
I really wish this had your normal dry humor narration. Though it was a quick, informative, and a nice build, l like the old format. It’s one of the main reasons l subscribed to your channel
I don’t know how I missed this one until now. As always, VERY NICE PIECE!!! While I kinda enjoy your voice over commentary, I realize many creators get a ton of haters. I thought this video was extremely well executed. Just the right amount of volume on the tools and parts coming together. With or without the voice overs, I wish you well. I always look forward to viewing your videos.
Thanks Chris!! Yes, those miters did come together nicely on this one. I'll be honest...they don't always work that way. If my plywood wasn't perfectly square, that would have caused that miter to need some adjustment. 👍
As I've commented on your other videos, your work is fantastic! Additionally, there are a handful of people I like to watch on YT that are true craftsman, and it is especially cool to see you supporting them by wearing their t-shirts in your videos- good form!!
Respectable work. After 44 years in the trade I always remember my doctor telling me " your hand is not a hammer". Keep the proper one around and use it you will be thankful later in life.
Was the reason for plywood with the edge banding vs hardwood panels for cost, wood stability, a little bit of both? Looks awesome, and love the design/execution, was just curious on that.
Yes and yes! LOL. Cost, wood stability and also weight. It would have been incredibly heavy if made of 1-1/2" thick solid white oak. There also would have been more labor involved gluing up and surfacing a bunch of panels, which makes it more costly. Sometimes I have to change my mindset from a furniture maker to a cabinet maker to produce an even better product and more cost effective product. I know some people stick their nose up at plywood, but high quality plywood is great to work with. And what people forget, is it's real WOOD! It's not particle board. Thanks for watching and the comment! 🙏👊
You mean Keith isn’t going to narrate this one? That’s like Tuning in for John Stewart and finding out Carrot top is a last-minute replacement. Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to learn something…
No joke - rather than cut shims to account for drilling the hole too deep, it was just easier to compact some shavings with some glue to make the medallion nice and flush with the surface.
@@KeithJohnsonCustomWoodworking I asked my friend where you get such beautiful oak plywood. here in the exUSSR we can only buy birch one. and we have "to plywood" (to glue) that birch plywood with oak veneer. it's very labor intensive
Just found you and mighty glad I did AWSOME wood working. You really show the love and enjoyment in what you do. I have got to ask what type of oil stain did you put on the oak shelf for bihind the sofa. That was some of the best results I've ever seen.
Keith your slacking buddy 😜. I got on here to see if you had plans for this build that I could buy and I was so disappointed! Keep up the great work and I love your attention to detail!
You almost make Norm Abrams look like an amateur. Great job. Reminds me of why I became a woodworker. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to more of your videos. Btw, you were great in Ferris Bueller's day off. (I'm just kidding).

That wood chip repair was really impressive. Bravo 👏🏽
Thank you very much!!
How you patched that corner after chiseling it, and made it vanish was pro quality!! Wow!!
👍👍👍
Thanks very much! 🙌🏻

🙏👍

What do expect when it's $120 a sheet 😂
I watched this auto play in my feed for 5 minutes with no audio before I finally had to come and say: Well done, man! Such craftsmanship.
Thanks a ton, Will! I really appreciate that! 🙏🏻👊🏻
The level of accuracy is tops, whenever you see someone using Festols that must be an expert.

WOW ! You knocked this out of the park
Thanks Norm! I almost made on of these for myself, too! 😜
Man, I'd give anything to have the tools you have 😭. Envious but amazed by watching you. Thanks!
Wow, thanks!
Your attention to detail on this is absolutely brilliant! You offer a very unique vantage point for aspiring and growing woodworkers!

What a stunning piece my friend. I love the crisp lines and angles.
Thanks for sharing! Felix
Thanks for the kind words, Felix!! 🙏🙌
Fantastic design and workmanship. I love it.
Thank you very much!
Another fantastic build! I'm always in awe of the accuracy you achieve. Did those mitres really come straight off the mitre saw?
Thanks Chris!! Yes, those miters did come together nicely on this one. I'll be honest...they don't always work that way. If my plywood wasn't perfectly square, that would have caused that miter to need some adjustment. 👍

Man - o - man, ridiculously cool. The animated graphics as descriptors... very nice touch. Credenza is stellar. Very nicely built!
Thanks a bunch, Rick! Your comments are very appreciated 🙏👊
What I really liked, and going to use myself, is the way of the feet. You stabilize the corners, end no one will ever see them.
The hidden feature of the adjustable feet is exactly what I like about them, too. Thanks!!

Solid advice! I can’t argue that point, but once in a while I do love my hammer fist! 😉 🔨👊🏻
