The inlay design on this project is a killer detail that really makes this stand out. It's given me inspiration for my work on my own bedroom, so thanks for that. Working on a horribly small budget but fortunately near where I live is a spot people use to dump furniture illegally. It's a great source of free fine quality wood as well as basic construction pieces.
I have been frustrated at simple mistakes i make daily in my startup. And seeing videos for techniques and such, perfect videos without mistakes , tend to mislead. Please don’t edit out those mistakes! You made my day and gave me reassurance! Subscribed! Thank you!!!
I actually saw that glue mistake about the same time you started pointing out, and I honestly shared your horror at realizing what had happened. Thankfully it all worked out. This is a knock dead beautiful piece of work, and a pleasure to be able to see how it was done. Really nice!
Can I say….I love that you make mistakes and SHOW US. A great reminder to all of us that just because we make what sometimes feel like really dumb mistakes to ourselves, it doesn’t detract from our skill, creativity, and professionalism. Question though at the end finishing drawers, you said other drawer didn’t have room to clamp. Couldn’t you have just removed the top drawer? I’ve personally never used the under mount slides, though I imagine in my next and future builds I will. I learned from my grandpa who still uses traditional side mount, and they are fussy! But this is a gorgeous build! From a design standpoint (not a criticism, just an idea)-that’s where I began in woodworking was design first-I would have called in the sapwood inlay detail at the bottom cutout that mirrored the handles.
What a soulful design and build. The glue was like, "nnnooooo!". Routinely a piece with such a insightful design and unique qualities aren't as thickset, it certainly speaks throughout to the quality and thought invested. Solid work.
Beautiful piece. The inlay is a really nice touch. When I make mistakes like that, there is a lot more choice language involved. 🤬 Very glad you were able to save it. Thanks for sharing!
I saw the glue going on the wrong side and actually said "No!" out loud. We've all been there. At least it was early and you were able to watch it off! Beautiful piece!! Nice work!
I love how you showed your glue mistake. Everyone has done that at least once. After rinsing it I would have probably used a card scraper to get every last bit of film off and then dried it. But that's good that you noticed it right away. Beautiful work!
By far my worst skill is carpentry so I really enjoy learning. I just subscribed to your channel, literally only because you were honest and showed me you are human. We all make mistakes, but it gives us a chance to learn and become better. Great build. Looks awesome. Maybe router out a spot for a wireless charger?
I did the same thing. I was like "um, that's not the side to put glue on", and then you kept adding more and more glue. Nice save, lucky you had the sink in the shop.
Couldn’t help but notice that nice Mercedes on the drive... my dream car. Awesome workmanship by the way! I love the fact the sides of the drawers are clean and without visible sliders.
I wish I had gotten into woodworking as a kid or a teenager

Hello my friend. It's a great project. Very beautiful design. The side table with walnut inlay is very stylish and decorative. You did a good job. I watched with curiosity. Congratulations. See you. Great greetings. 👍💖
I was watching and I was thinking hmmm I think he put glue on the face. but then nah he knows what he is doing. oh well, at least I am not the only one who makes mistakes. I love the handles. :) amazing work!
Nice save on the glue on the wrong side, I have done that on my end grain cutting boards a couple of times, had the same reaction as you did. Love your builds
Hey from Seattle (PNW, WHAAAT??)!! Loved this. Absolutely gorgeous!! As soon as I saw the mistake, before you said anything, I was like, “WRONG SIDE!! NOOOOOO!!!” Glad it all worked out!!
When I saw you run the inlay pieces halfway through and turn them over I pictured in my mind me trying the that and it didn't go nearly as smooth I could see the pieces shooting though the shop maybe one sticking out of my leg you know. great work man love the inlay
Great save! Saying louder and louder "wrong side!!" It looks awesome and the inlays really does make it pop!! First time watcher and subbed! Your video and commentary is nice and relaxed! No over dramatisation BS! Really enjoyed it! Thanks!
Damn dude, I love your design work so much. Also, I feel your pain with that mistake. I made a HUGE 4’x8’ sheet of hexagon pattern plywood for a headboard (got the idea for you of course). At the very end of the build, I drilling holes for French cleats and the stop collar on my drill bit slips and I drill through the face of it. I screamed so loud that my wife heard me from inside the house 😂. I fixed it by cutting a strip of plywood, chucking it up in my drill and sanding it into a dowel to plug the hole. Thankfully matched pretty well. I’ll have have to shoot you some pics on Instagram seeing as you’re the inspiration for the build. Thanks again for making all this great content!
Wooooww, digga!!! Thats the most beautiful piece of furniture i've seen on YT for a long time! So nice..so inspiring! Thank u so much for this.. And the moment when u put the first glue drop on..whaaaaa.. Very nice Job! Thanks..
Hi. I could notice a small gap from the side at the lower portion when you were fixing the face of the larger drawer....maybe it's because of the two side tape....hope you noticed it.....my observation...@ 20.45 Beautiful work....
@@Realism91 you know what I mean!? 😅 Fun fact: I made a bathroom medicine cabinet over our sink which was 4cm deeper/longer from front to back. I had to take saw off the back ... It looks okay, but I'm haunted by the horrendous act of undoing the brilliant work... My wife doesn't even seen to notice. 🤔
Stunning work dude. Omg! My heart did a somersault with that glue mishap! Thank goodness, all's well that ends well. Give yourself a pat on the back for this project.
Jednak koncepcję zapamiętuję i pewnie jej elementy wykorzystam w przyszłości.
That's a really beautiful cabinet, Michael. At least your mistake was glue. That's not as bad as drilling pocket holes on the wrong side - not that I've ever done that (lol). Stay safe. Bill
I’m just sitting here at the end of the video, just shaking my head in disbelief. This piece is absolutely stunning. Beautiful work!
Thank you so much 😊

Bravo to Ashley! She heard your distress, made sure you were ok and didn't need help, and then moved the camera to capture the moment.
man i think this guy is the most innovative wood worker on yt, amazing work every video

Michael, I’m really glad to hear you’re walnut doesn’t smoke anymore. So much better for his health. I’ll kidding aside great project brother
Buitiful piece of work! The real craftsman is who can to correct the mistake in time.
Really fantastic work. Walnut is the GOAT.

I thought i was the only idiot to glue the wrong side on glue ups. Thanks for sharing that, i appreciate you.

It turned out fantastic! Love how the sapwood banding wraps all around the thing.
A true craftsman can fix all the mistakes, way to be awesome. I really appreciate that you didn't cut that part.👍
I saw the glue going on the wrong side and actually said "No!" out loud. We've all been there. At least it was early and you were able to watch it off! Beautiful piece!! Nice work!
I really loved the way this one came out. Might be my favorite non plywood pattern video.
That’s a beautiful piece of art Men
Your face reaction when u put glue on the wrong side.
I was like OMG he’s human after all 💪 great job men .
I love how you showed your glue mistake. Everyone has done that at least once. After rinsing it I would have probably used a card scraper to get every last bit of film off and then dried it. But that's good that you noticed it right away. Beautiful work!
Man that is one beautiful piece of cabinetry! ❤
You're fortunate to have a sink like that in your shop. Very nice project-the sapwood looks great!
That quiet close drawer system is just 👌
Beautiful work....running that dado with just the miter edge against the rip fence scared the crap out of me!
Woof woof Winston….. your human has great skills 👌🦴🎾

20.46 Apart from the gaping hole between the drawer front and the carcass, brilliant job. Love the design.
Troll
Truly an incredibly beautiful piece Michael! Oh man, my heart sank when you realized you put the glue on the wrong side! Glad it worked out!
Thanks Ethan!!
Before you've said the word Mistake, I spotted and tried to warn you but you didn't hear! Glad you could save it!
Hahaha 🤦🏼♂️
I did the same thing. I was like "um, that's not the side to put glue on", and then you kept adding more and more glue. Nice save, lucky you had the sink in the shop.
I'm glad he didn't listen. Now i know that i have to wet both sides of the board so it won't bow.
My teeth and jaws are still hurting from clenching so hard while he was doing that and then rinsing the glue off! Yikes!

Couldn’t help but notice that nice Mercedes on the drive... my dream car. Awesome workmanship by the way! I love the fact the sides of the drawers are clean and without visible sliders.
One word for you as always "you are a artist".
I absolutely love the modern look and feel of this.
It's simple and beautiful. Beauty is in simplicity
Wow. This and the Murphy bed. Just gorgeous!
Wow! That. Is. Gorgeous!!!
16m41s = the most drama I've ever seen in a woodworking video. I actually gasped.
Wow, this has to be one of my favorite builds of 2020 for sure! So gorgeous!
I wish I had gotten into woodworking as a kid or a teenager

Gorgeous design and excellent craftwork.
Beautifully done. Glue in the wrong spot happens to everyone. Nice save.
Nice save on the glue on the wrong side, I have done that on my end grain cutting boards a couple of times, had the same reaction as you did. Love your builds
Wow!!! That is incredible!!!
That’s a beautiful piece.
Very smart looking cabinet. Well Done.
Lovely job. Good to see someone not editing out his mistakes 🙂

Simply stunning work including how you saved the mistakenly glued board lol
That is genuinely a beautiful piece
Sweet Benz. I have a '91 300SE black/palomino that I adore.
Stunning - Elegant Stylish Sophisticated
That mini fire in the insert was bonkers! Very cool build and great video man.
Crazy, right?!!! Thanks dude!
Great design brother. Love it. And don’t worry about the glue mistake we all have been there.
Very very very nice job!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The way you reacted when you realized your mistake , so ,so funny, and reminded me of a dear german friend . Shout out from romania .
Killer job Michael! We absolutely LOVE all your project videos!!

I'm happy for your glue mistake, because I learn that I can wash it off instead of throwing away the wood
Nice piece. Great use of sapwood. Well done.

Piece of art, You earned my subscribtion
Congratulations for this piece of art you built :D
Love the inlay. I like that you can still say it's an "all walnut" cabinet. Even the lighter wood is walnut!
I love the design man
Wooooww, digga!!! Thats the most beautiful piece of furniture i've seen on YT for a long time!
So nice..so inspiring! Thank u so much for this..
And the moment when u put the first glue drop on..whaaaaa..
Very nice Job! Thanks..
Looks good. The sapwood inlay is a nice feature!
Beautiful work, as always. Man, I gasped when you had the glue mishap. Glad to know I'm not alone making those kind of mistakes. :)
Unique idea! Nice job!
Beautiful cabinet. Thanks for sharing your process, including that super stressful glue fiasco. 😮😅

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS !!!
Very badass. Nice work, sir!
Cheers
Nice recovery and great project 👍
"with a sharp chisel..." When would you reccomend a dull chisel? Love your stuff, always good inspiration.
Ha! I actually do have a set of dull chisels for beating on.
Kind of reassuring to see another guy screw up and still save the work.
That was the best part, sometimes you think these people never make mistakes.

So cool! Love this one. We've all been there with the "glue on the wrong side" whoops. Nice recovery!
Such a beautiful piece!! The inlay is an amazing detail. Good work!
Nice built Michael! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍👌😎JP
Really diggin’ this piece Michael!
Stunning work dude. Omg! My heart did a somersault with that glue mishap! Thank goodness, all's well that ends well. Give yourself a pat on the back for this project.
Hahaha! Thanks Rueben 😅
Holy cannoli! That is beautiful!
Great job on that cabinet!
Nice recovery on the glue mistake. Mistakes are part of the craft. :) I started a playlist of mine.

I need to see the pieces inside your home!
Exceptional!! Very beautiful.
Nice touch on the Left leg
OMG you killed me with the washing of the board 😆 Great save!
BEAUTIFUL!!! Nice work ❤️❤️❤️
That's a really beautiful cabinet, Michael. At least your mistake was glue. That's not as bad as drilling pocket holes on the wrong side - not that I've ever done that (lol). Stay safe. Bill
