Thanks!! I'm going to practice on a LOC Precision park flyer rocket, IQSY Tomahawk. It's a 1.63" body and 2.5" fins. I have 2 others at this size, but they have already been painted.
Great video.I have watched a couple of times. I like the idea of peel ply but I wonder if waxed paper might work well. It seems to not adhere to epoxy.
for epoxy I like Thinned System Three T-88, Raka or Proline. The lubricating epoxy is just thinned down epoxy. The same as you used on the rest of the layup. Thinning it just helps wet out the peel ply and makes things much smoother,
Thank you very cool
Did you put in fin fillets before glassing tip to tip?
at the 4 min marker I'm applying cut up fiberglass mixed with epoxy which is the fillets..it's all done at one sitting.

what weight fiberglass are you using for tip to tip?
IIRC..for that 98mm min dia rocket it was 6oz..for a 54mm i'd use 2oz
@@tfish38 thanks. what about for a 3”, 75mm? 3 oz?
Great how-to video, thank you!
Great explanation and video! Thanks a lot

Thank you very much....A very informative video and I'm going to give it a shot now.
Nice helpful video! What kind of epoxy did you use? What's the "lubricating epoxy" mentioned at 24m into the video?

I use porous teflon coated release film from aircraft spruce
Do you use the pourous or non-pourous teflon coated peel ply for your glassing?
