I test drove both a 2024 Equinox LS and a RAV4 LE. The RAV4 was not as quiet as the Equinox. I’ve owned Chevys and Toyotas in the past. From experience , Toyota parts for maintenance are a bit more expensive than those for a Chevy. I’m 5’10”, 170 lbs. The seat wrapped me just right. Long story short, I bought my 2024 Equinox LS two days ago. I went a step further than the LS Convenience Package. I decided on a model that also has the Driver Confidence II Package. That adds rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, and lane change blind spot alert. Acceleration is more than decent. I’m retired with grandkids so I’ll be driving this as a daily driver. Happy with my purchase.

Shopped for a crossover last December and tried the Equinox since there is a dealer in my town. Horrible seats even with the power package. So short and small. I'm 6'3" and 220 LBS. Couldn't get comfortable. I don't understand why a domestic automaker uses such tight seats. Many Americans aren't small people. Plus the interior looks so dated and boring even in the higher trims. I ended up with a Hyundai Tucson Limited. Much better car. I will say that the Equinox does have a very smooth engine and the engine start/stop is so unobtrusive I didn't even bother to turn it off.
The current tucson is a lot newer than this equinox, im sure the 2025 model coming is a lot better than this one. You have to remember this is a very old design, like malibu. Aside from tech and slight exterior changes, not much has changed.
Great review and POV drive. Preferred it over the Rav4 LE. found the Toyota a little too rough & noisy. No power seat option on the LE,you have to go XLE,which starts a about $30k. The Equinox Driver Convience Pkg is worth the $ 785. I currently own a Equinox.
No power Liftgate🤔 does it have a truck release button inside the vehicle?…Just purchased a 2024 Equinox LS last week and don’t know how to open my truck from the inside smh 🤦🏽♀️ reading the manual is exhausting and stressful

The Chevy dealer in my town had them $4000+ off. I haven’t even gotten over there to test them yet. I assume the manufacturer is trying to move them. I think the 2025 is new.

I rather buy this 2024 Equinox LS then RAV4.
Same, its much easier to find at a discount, or even at sticker price than rav4. Plus GM has never done me or my family wrong.

It is a coin toss up...I've driven both. The Equinox seems to be more comfortable on the driver side.

If you buy one, make sure you step up to the 2.0 liter engine. I have heard bad things about the 1.5 liter engine.
Not available on all trims, they discontinued it when they facelifted it
Would you suggest the Equinox or the Forester?
The company has several of these in our fleet. They are pretty average in the compact segment and not the most comfortable for long commutes.
You should just buy a RAV4.

I have one. It's faster than the rev4 but gets a bit worse mpg.

Sounds about right. 2025 there will be a refresh, I’m interested to see how good it will be. Seems like it will be much better/more updated
